I am 46, i had an ablation 6 months ago to help with severe cramps and very heavy bleeding each month due to adamyosis, the gynotold me i needed a hysterectomy but my weight and high blood pressure, coupled with their hospital doing too many hysterectomies meant i should wait until i went back home to Australia as i would only be working in the uk for 1 more year. He told me the ablation vould be done in his office but as i seemed to be 'overly sensitive' to pain he would fo it in day surgery.i am not overly sensitive having endured a kidney transplant previously where my pain tolerance was noted...Anyway,Straight after the ablation i was in terible pain but sent home and told to go to A &E if i couldnt cope dispite the anethestist objecting openly and nursing staff trying to convince gyno they had concerns, i tolertated the pain till it subsided a week later since i have had just as heavy bleeding, giant clots (i was told were not possible after an ablation) and the pain each month has gotten so bad i have had to leave my job and am retrning to Australia.....tonight i am on the third day of hell pain and a new pain has begun, this is like a sharp stab which sends a shock down my left leg and makes me nausious Nothing i am taking for pain (over counter) works, pains are horrendous......has anyone else had this happen? Ive been told the ablation shouldnt be dones on ladies with adamyosis as the surface for period generation extends deep into the uterous wall so the ablation can lead to scars ripping open each month as the build up of blood tries to get out.....not sure what to believe and a bit scared at the sharp irregular pains.....anyone who can give some insight or advice, i would be very grateful.......i am in dreadful pain, walked away from a highly sucessful career and left very alone in the Uk with no trust in the NHS
