My husband has problems with his heart. He is having high blood pressure since I remember and that has culminated with the heart failure last week. They had to give him ACE inhibitor called Zestril. But he has started coughing after starting ACE-inhibitors. Is there any link? Please help cough is really serious.

Well obviously there is. Most common and most known side effect of ACE inhibitors is cough. It can happen when patient start taking him or even after a few months. He should try without ACE inhibitor if problem is resolved and move to irbesartan for instance. Of course there is always possibility that cough is triggered by something else. Only doctor can tell you that.
