I am training for a marathon, have gotten up to running over 10 -12 regularly, My body does fine, but when I get in the 11-15 mile range, i get sick to my stomach, nauseated, sometimes throw up. Do you know what could be causing this and what should I do?

I get that allot as well, Right after I hit about 13 miles I start feeling terrible in the stomach. Are you getting enough protein? I drink a shake before my run and at night before I go to sleep, this has helped allot....

You could be running low on sodium due to losing a lot of sweat. The initial mild symptoms of low sodium are nausea and mild stomach cramps.
I would suggest eating some salty foods and hydrating with a sodium containing sports drinks during your trainings to reestablish good sodium levels.
If this doesn't help, I would suggest seeing your doctor for a check up.

I used to have the same problem and a protein shake does help - I agree, though, if it continues I'd be sure to consult a doc about it.
