I have had 2 gastric emptying studies done. The 1st was positive, the 2nd negative. The only difference was I was allowed to walk around in between the X-Rays of how long it was taking for the food to move. Had my gall bladder out 5-2010, & have been in pain, vomiting, nausea, etc. ever since. I only meet 2 symptoms of gastro paresis, & they are not chronic. So frustrating to have to fight to prove I DO NOT HAVE GASTRO PARESIS!!! I have had all the tests. I NEED A DOCTOR WHO CARES ABOUT ME!!! I'm writing this from a hospital bed. Since my gall bladder, I have been hospitalized at least 8 times. I need a "Dr. House!" My medical bills are out of control, but I WILL find out the problem. Is there a test to see if my vagus nerve was damaged during my surgery. HELP, I NEVER HAD THIS STOMACH PAIN UNTIL THEY REMOVED MY GB!!!! I have NO LIFE!!!

You can get gastroparesis from having your gallbladder removed if your vagus nerve was damaged. I'm 99.9% sure thats how I got gastroparesis as I was fine until I got my GB out.

Hello/ I had my gallbladder removed March 2020. Immediately coming out of The anesthesia I was in a 10/10 pain. I was asking the nurses around me what happened. The left side of my abdominal area was killing me. It hurt so bad. I was given pain meds after the Doctor was paged and did not respond immediately. Then he arrived and I was given a nerve block by this doctor. From this moment on, my stool turned white. I could not empty stool. My blood pressure was low 24/7 like registering at 76/47 NORMAL…but when I had to pass stool. It would DROP. To like 54/45 I would get soooooo sick. I would first start to feel pain increasing in the same exact area I woke up in pain from. Then I would stay to feel nauseous BADLY. Then I’d sweat, shake and vomit while passing stool. My stomach would bloat so huge right before each episode. When my stomach exploded those episodes were MUCH worse. This was exhausting for me. I have been to the hospital over 60 times rushed by ambulance. ALL HOSPITAL STAFF RELEASED ME IN THE SAME CONDITION!!! Even though from the moment I woke up from this botched surgery I was on a bad pattern. I became anemic, I also became diabetic with malnutrition. I weighed over 165 pounds before my gallbladder was removed. I came out of this mess at 128. The doctor that hurt me, SEEN POST OP Small bowel intussusception and bile reflux. He wouldn’t be held accountable. Every time I went back to see him, IN TEARS. He’d send me out to a specialist. And ALL specialist sent me back to him. His treatment plan for me was. To call EMS. I ended up having surgery and I’m completely better now. My blood pressure along with the other symptoms of vomiting, shaking are also all gone. I still have mild pain on the left. I was told my nerve was hit as well. Idk if I’ll have for ER pain and damage from this. I have ptsd now diagnosed directly from the lack of care this doctor gave me. I still don’t know why I wasn’t admitted until I was figured out. I was falling close to a coma each time I passed stool. I have over 600 episodes recorded. I have the doctor admitting he gave me the nerve block. And the hospital “lost” that particular part of the records. This Dr. Should not be in practice. He’s since then left this practice. This was after I received a call, before my surgery was being scheduled by a prominent hospital telling me if I hire a Attorney they will no longer see me. This was horrific for me. I am 45 when this started. My daughter was 20. We both have ptsd from this. I had home care nurses assigned to my home. They left my care giving me a year to live in this condition. Telling me there’s nothing they can do. I am having medical life threatening episodes every time I pass stool. This has to be fixed. My daughter watched me pass out over 100 of times. And every time I went for help. The ER Dr. ‘S would say….we will stabilize you. You need to go back to this surgeon and get this fixed. Over and over. For 2 YEARS! I’m praying for a attorney to take my case. I think every Dr. Is liable for discharging me in a bad condition. And the surgeon that caused all of this!!! He should definitely be held accountable. I woke up screaming!!! It was obvious something bad happened and it’s all documented by the hospital. I still cannot believe I was discharged over and over and sent home in this condition with these serious symptoms to fight for my life alone at home.
I wish you the best. I still haven’t found an attorney. And I can prove everything! Good luck

What kind of surgery did you have to correct the medical condition?
