So, I am a 16 year old female who has been suffering with HORRIBLE lower abdominal pains for over 5 months now. In February when it first started I went to the doctors for stomach pains which led to blood work and a white blood count that was double what it should be. For this I was admitted to the hospital (stayed a week), I had a CT scan upon arrival and was diagnosed with gastroenteritis, and my intestines were inflamed. I was not allowed food for five days and was given three bags of antibiotics a day and later a powdered medication called Riboflavin. I was feeling much better but soon after my release a few weeks or so I again has abdominal pain. I then had SEVERE stomach pain the weekend before Easter and had to return to the ER. This pain was a severe almost twisting like feeling in my stomach that i would call attacks that lasted about 2-5 minutes in length and had about 5-7 of these "attacks" that night. White blood count again high but not as high as before. Had an ultrasound found nothing and went home that night.
Now in June I am still having abdominal pain that now seems to jump around and is present in all quadrants and comes about randomly but happens each day. For the past month I have been suffering from really bad headaches and have been given a medication that is not helping, saw my doctor today for it and she said to double up on doses. Since Also for about three days I had EXTREME nausea that would not go away, even zofran, which has always worked for me, did no help. This began as a very sore jaw which required me to ice and then turned into extreme nausea and some heart burn. The heartburn and jaw soreness went awya the next day but severe nausea stuck for about three. This then had me wondering if there is something wrong with my heart? Could it be that my arteries are partially clogged and not enough blood is getting to my abdominal organs? I thought this through and am wondering how long somebody can live with a condition like this? Wouldnt I be dead by now if my arteries have been partially blocked and organs receiving low amounts of blood for this many months? The severe nausea went away yesterday but I am still suffering from mild nausea.
I am also taking yaz birth control which I have been on for about four years so I do not think at all this would be causing the problem as it has never caused a problem. I am not sexually active. I'm 5'2 and hover around 100-105 moderately exersize and eat relatively healthy. I have never had any other ongoing or serious medical problems that this other than a ruptured cyst on my ovaries a little over a year ago. I am desperate for an answer even if it is that I am a looney-tune and its psychological. I will consider ANYTHING to get rid of this suffering. Thank you SO MUCH for reading and if you have any replies.
