my son has done this for years, he's now 16. I did it as a child too. with my son, its a combination of allergies and stress. He doesn't have it on weekends or summer vacations etc. Only during the week when school is in session. But sometimes even if you have no other symptoms you can drainage into your stomach that will subside as the day goes. What helps is a benedryl at bedtime. Have your time before bed, don't go straight from games or an activity that is keeping your brain stimulated to trying to sleep and being restless. You need to have down time, drawing or reading or something you like that isn't a constant stimulation. give yourself time to wind down to sleep. Take a shower or something in the morning and eat yourself some crackers, maybe some yogurt. If it is drainage and your stomach it is so sour and you don't think you can hold anything down, usually crackers actually absorb that drainage and you start to feel better. and at my worst stomach aches i can take some pepto and a peppermint and be good within about 10 minutes. I think with school also, it is something that is a have to do, a dread that sits on kids. It hasn't been their choice like going to college or a career. You have to have something to look forward to everyday. You have to have plenty of sleep and even on the weekends, don't go too far off your schedule, that will make monday and tues the sickest days of the week, just trying to get your routine back on track. believe it or not foods and exercise play a big part. try not to eat alot of greasy or sugar filled foods. most people don't really realize what those things are. pasta, pizza, potatoes, breaded meats, breads are all full of sugar, meat and veggies are actually good for you. protein and fiber....alos alot of kids go to school dehydrated, they don't feel good in the morning and a drink from a water machine just doesn't cut it. carrying water to school with you would be a good idea.
so my advice is routine, down time and something to look forward to everyday eating well and exercise.
during your down time, find one great thing about tomorrow.
if you can't eat in the morning, try crackers (vitamins) crushed ice (pepto and a peppermint helps) and eat a substantial amt of food as soon as you are feeling better, atleast by lunch.
maybe put some peanut butter crackers in your backpack or locker, if you can eat before lunch. This will go away when you start making your own decisions and don't keep so much dread. Oh and also, does your school have VITAL, online classes you can take at home instead of the morning classes at school... it does cost money, here its about time to sign up for next semester. email your school or ask your councelor...
i bet the idea of vital just made you feel better, huh. well vital is something i'm doing for my kid. i want him to like school and think about college. college is nothing like hs and he can take some classes online there too and choose his class schedule. college is not all day, everyday even. Do something you love for the rest of your life... not what you have to....hs is just such a small part of your life. i work at home doing what i love to do.

Just to give you a little play by play on my day of symptoms....
when i wake up my stomach hurts. acute upper abdominal pain is the only stomach pain i experience. i would describe it as a dull pain
the pain eventually either simmers down to a point where i think to myself that it isnt even bad enough to complain about but it still makes me feel just crappy and in a whiny mood because im uncomfortable. Sometimes the pain goes away completely but never for more then a couple hours. id be lucky to go an hour completely pain free.
then just the thought of lunch or even the smell of lunch gets my stomach hurting and no appetite. i then force myself to eat my meal.
stomach continues to hurt for atleast two hours if not more. Again most times the pain wont entirely go away and just comes in small waves.
the same thing happens with dinner.
do duodenal/peptic ulcers cause sweaty palms?

Same thing just started with me. When I wake up I fell nauseated and my stomache feels terrible it lasts for a few hours then fades and comes back before I fall asleep. I thought I had the flu or something but its been about a week and a half and I am going to see a docter soon. All of these comments are starting to scare me. :(:
