My daughter has had fever, sore throat, fatigue and congestion this pat week so I took her to the doc who did a strep culture and it came back positive so they gave her a shot of antibiotics. that was three days ago and she has since developed canker sores on her lips and inside her cheeks and her gums have become so swollen it hurts for her to chew. She still has a fever and fatigue so I will take her back to the dr but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone else has had these oral symptoms occur after strep diagnosis or of it is from something else that she has contracted along with the strep.

Hi Gsquared,

Take her back to the doctor.  There should have been some improvement after the taking the antibiotics and not an increase in symptoms.

Possibly it is related to the antibiotics but don't take the chance.

Hope it helps.
