Hi all, I have just come out of a two week detox program, i have been abusing morphine now for 12 years...started on 10mg subbys for 2 days, then 8mg for 2days, 6mg for 2 days, 4mg for 2 days, 2mg for 2 days then 0.8mg for 2 days then 1 day of 0.4mg. It is now my 4th day clean and when i say clean...i mean clean!! No weed, no beer, no valium, no zopiclone.
The first day my legs were killing me and i got about an hours sleep ( a blessing) second day legs still killing i got 2 hours sleep, 3rd day the pain seems to go to your arms and back. Today i am on my 4th day and the pain in my legs have gone(kinda) and last night i got a solid 4 hours sleep!!...I Feel okay today except for my guts hurt abit and i keep having to run to the toilet.
The withdrawal of subbys is nothing compared to morfs and smack.....I am going to the chemist soon to get some non addictive help like anti histamine to help me sleep and something for my guts...i might actually go to the gym tonight...first time in 12 years. Stay strong and take one day at a time..x

I was taking SUB 2 mg/day for 2 years. I take Neurontin for the withdrawals. Went to 2 weeks detox, now withdrawing on my own at home/work. Its hard. I am finishing my third week and if i don't take Neurontin (Gabapentin) ever 4 hours, i get the rattles, aches, insomnia, and pain. Going on 4th week and still feel some of the symptoms, especially at night around 3-6 am. Appetite is good, but still at 60%. slowly regaining health. Withdrawals at night are hard and I wonder if its because I took subutex in the evening often. Neurontin is a life saver. Also have to look into thyroid medication and adrenals as per previous post. Anything to help withdrawals.

Boy! I hear all of you! I was only on 2 mg twice a day, and "stupid me" I didn't use my pill pack where I put all my medications. Ultimately, took too many and ran out early. Even on this low dose, w/d is bad! Can't sleep. Got the sweats. Can't eat much (which doesn't help my diabetes). All I can think to do is try to make sure I get enough fluids so I don't get dehydrated. Also, rice sorta helps the runs.
My former doctor told me that at the dose I'm at it takes 3 days for the stuff to get out of your system, but the next 3 weeks will be "rocky," while your natural endorphins start to kick in.
I have fibromyalgia and even at that low dosage, it really does help for me to tolerate the daily pain. So, I will never, ever, EVER forget to use my pill pack! :$ :$
I'm old, so this w/d is just about to kill me. All I can do is try to rest, but I'm antsy, kinda short of breath, runny nose can't function (as much as I would like to) etc. etc. If this was heroin, I'd be in my grave now. I would give my left boob for SOMETHING!
So, y'all who have been through this or are going through this now...you have my humble empathies!

Subs have a lot longer half life than herion, subs 30 hour half life in body. Herion about 6 hours. So your detox will take longer 2 to 3 weeks i have found. The first week is the worst, then every day starts to get a little better. But remember people think 2mg is a low dose. Remember o.2mg is perscribed to normal people, for pain relief. (but under a differebt name)
Im on day 8, not feel great, but better than day 7. Went into a 5 day detox, 4mg subs, day 4 they give you naltrexone to get the last of it out of your system. As i was half asleep for the first 4 days, it was not that bad. First 3 days at home felt sick, no sleep, cycle legs in bed hehe. But today day 8 feel a little better, so think its down hill from here. From past experience it can take the body 2 to 3 weeks to start to become normal again. Remember it effects body temp, breathing, feel good chemicals in brain, pain response. Your body just needs a little time to get back to normal. eg 2 weeks and you should be close to finish, (depending on your dose, length of time used)

p.S My first subs detox, going from 12mg to 4 mg, was hard and did not feel good for 3 weeks. But the bad feeling will go, and before you know it, you will be feeling better. What works for me, aim to get through 1 day at a time, and remember these bad feeling will pass. Im on day 8 now, hoping to feel better by day 14 plus.

I am coming off subutex 4 mgs a day. I am on my 6th day. And I really am starting to feel better. I've been taking it for 2 years. The withdraws were bad but not as bad as I expected. I kept myself busy everyday all day I feel like that is what helped me sleep at night. But it is looking up after 6 days. If you let someone else tell you your not going to feel better for weeks and you believe it then well you will be sick for uh well weeks. I personally believe more of that is mental more than pyhsical pain. Youll get there.

I know I will go in to withdraw for a few days but I want to be drug free my sex drive down my energy down I hate depending on a pill just to feel ok. I'm sad because I can't give my wife a child I feel its do to all my drug use that's why I want to stop. And also my insurance I have 6 months left this medication is not cheap. So my ? Is should I just stop? I want to feel normal again.

Get some water suluable fibre like benefibre (it's kind of white crystalline powder) and some digi-scales.
Then crush a subtext or sobuzone or whatever tablet up and make it up so that for every 1mg you add 1g of fibre.
So weigh out 8G of fibre for an 8mg tab, 2G for a 2mg tab etc...
and mix the two thouroughly.
then for every 0.1G of combined substance you will have 0.1mg of buproporine.
then you can just keep titrating down in minuscule amounts, hanging out the annoyance for a long as possible between doses.
With 0.01g digi-scales you can get down to as low as 0.01mg or even mix with water and then measure out small amounts.
4weeks of morphine derives opiates, it just all got worse and worse, after 5 weeks pain and muscle twitches was unbearable. (I had PTSD and came of neuroleptic trnqualizers cold turkey and used opiates in mild irregular way to help cope with the withdrawal from that.
Tried buproporine ONCE gave me opiate withdrawal symptoms after one use, never had issues with opiates really prior to that apprt from a mild habbit many many months before which I cold turkey with little problems [pain and puking are run of the mill side effects from neuroleptics so I was used to that] until several weeks later when the PTSD and tranqulaiser withdrawl started to kick in again.
buproporine is just plain annoying, to mild to block or just be out of it, to much to just get on and comes and goes. I find morphine based opiates can keep the withdrawal away for 4-5 days after a smalish one off dose and exercise and stimulants work quite well.
I'm down to about 0.2-0.1mg every day and a half now... withdrawal kicks in after about 3-4 hours, getting much milder but have things to do and sleep, so just gona keep hanging it out as longs as possible and hopefully should be totally clean in a week or two so long as I keep hanging it out and titrating.

I have been on Heroin for 15 Years and attempted almost every detox imaginable. Found subutex 12mg a wonder drug! well, in comparision try to remanliss all those endless hours sick waiting for some 17 Year Old inevitably called D/J/C/T/ E.G Prick, whom claims repeatedly to be a mere 10 minutes from Your clammy, anticipated grasp..in dealer timezone that translates as atleast another 2 hours at minimam while He enjoys the fruits of Your labour at some chicken shop!. Anyway, down to 8mg after seven mths, physically feel O.K, recommend stocking up on valium and sleepers for the ensuing final part though and will keep You posted. P.S Ive heard Someone else say if they can give up anyone can and that really is true, I couldnt manage a Day. The Drugs Dont Work?.

Hi, I'm new to this site. I have currently been taking 8 mg of subutex for 2 yrs now and the main problem I have is that I run out too soon and go thru hell with the withdrawals cause I try to take more to feel high. The problem is that subutex has a ceiling effect and the more you take the more you go into severe withdrawal. I have tried on several occasions to convince the pharmacist to just give it to me early but we all know how anal pharmacists are! I want to ween myself off of this stuff but I end up giving in to my brain telling me that I need more, iscthere anything that might help me slow down on this?
