I know a 21 month old boy whom I believe has a form of Autism. They seem to agree with my findings but are not taking any action. Shouldn't there be some things I can do to work with him? I know they won't mind but maybe they are still trying to accept it. Got any ideas?

Hi sunfun,
Who is "they?" The parents?
What are your qualifications? How did you come up with this diagnosis?
You need to understand that the parents/guardians of this boy will have a hard time accepting something like that. He is there son, they love him, and don't want to find any "faults" in him. They would have a hard time accepting such a diagnosis from any respected institution and would no doubt obtain a 2nd and maybe even a 3rd opinion.
Parents will go to the ends of the earth to protect their child. It's just the way it is.
Hope it helps.
