About 5 months ago I woke up with two very swollen eyes and a slight rash on my neck. Went and seen my doctor and he diagnosed it to a viral thing. So 10 days later or not doing awhole lot it went away. I thought nothin of it. About a month ago I went through the same stint. But with the same procedures I got the last time it went away. For about 2 weeks I've been fighting with an extreme case of dry skin. To the point where I feel like I'm going to crack. And it's mainly my face with my eye lids being the worse (raw red and inflamed). With this happening my lip has also been to the extreme of dry. Nothin is helping. I went to the doc he gave me a lotion. It's not helping. On top of that for the last week I've been waking up with very swollen lips and eyes. And as of 3 days I've been broken out in a rash all over my neck. My skin is so itchy (especially my eye lids and neck). Im also fighting a terrible cold right now but the first time this happened I wasn't sick at all. I'm lost and don't know what to do. I've never been allergic to anything. An I haven't changed nothin in my face routine or hair. I've been to my doc 3 times and he can't seem to help me so I'm suggesting a dermatologist and nutritionist take a look at me. If anyone has any has experienced this and has some remedies I'd defiantly be willing to try anything!!! Thank for your help!!

Hello, Ash!  I wonder about the environment you are in right now.  Is it dry and cold where you are at?  I know my skin dries much quicker and more frequently now that winter is here.  I think you could have a reaction to the dryness and it's causing inflammation in your eyelids.  Have you had your thyroid checked?  An underactive thyroid can cause dryness of the skin as well.  In the meantime, you can try oatmeal-based baths and lotions to see if they offer any relief.  A humidifier could be helpful too if the air in your house is dry.  Good luck and let us know how it goes!
