im 18 and ive been having sex quite a bit for the past 2 years. never have i had anything like this befor. its probably not that serious but its been bugging me out because ive had this swollen lump between my outer lip and clit fro abotu 3 days now. its about the size of my clitoris and runs from there to next to my inner lip. it doesnt hurt that much not when i have sex or anything, but when i touch it its very tender. im guessing its a swollen gland or cyst. but im not sure. if anyone knows anything about anything like this please reply. its been really really bothering me.

Was this anything serious? I currently have the same thing, and it seems to be swelling more by the day. I've recently started going to the gym, and have read that it could be caused by friction.

did anyone ever figure out what this was... i'm 22 years old and never had sex, i have the same thing only mine will show up one day then go away about a week later... then give or take 2weeks it'll come back, i dont shave down there or anything i dont thing its an ingrown hair. this has gone on for about 6months now untill about 2weeks ago, it showed up and my whole lip is swollen about twice its normal size and never went down... also usually its not painful but now it hurts to sit down from time to time. so i started messing with it to see if maybe it was like a zit or something and it pop'ed what came out was a mixture of white/yellow puss and blood... the pressure was gone for afew hours then started to hurt again. its never been a really big deal untill now because i'm getting married in afew months and well... what do i tell my new hubby on our wedding night??? :-( i want to get this checked out but dont have the money for it... ( *cough* thats why i ask you fine peoples *cough* )

My sister has been in and out of hospital over the last 3 years with cysts in her labial area and vagina. I was worried, being her sister about what it was so I started researching. My husband and also my younger brother have been treated in hospital for Pilonidal cysts at the top point of the bottom cheaks... so actually it makes sense that women could get these in the labia. Seriously painful... not sure how painful compared to the 22 stitches I got after my baby was pulled out of me, but I guess similiar to the recovery. I used cold compresses and hot compresses.
