About 6 months ago (3 months after becoming sexually active), I became very swollen and itchy and went to the doctor and she diagnosed me with a yeast infection. She didn't test me for any STDs because she said she was sure this was a just a severe yeast infection. I believe it was because my boyfriend and I were constantly having sex and I just wasn't used to it. She gave me a pill and it cleared up.
For a few weeks now I have been (moderately) swollen in my vaginal area and surrounding areas. I believe because I have been swollen and the skin is so thin and sensitive, small papercut-like tears have occurred (not sure if it's related to the swelling). There is only a small pain when I touch them but I have been using neosporin and Vaseline and they seem to be improving. However new tears form. There is this weird discharge. Not like cottage cheese but slightly thicker than normal (almost sticky?) and has no real smell.
When I take a shower, I flare up and become even more swollen. It's never itchy, doesn't really burn at all and doesn't sting when I urinate. So, I'm stumped.
I only became sexually active about a year ago so could this be an STD, a yeast infection/bacteria infection or something else? I plan on getting tested for STDs ASAP but surely if this were an STD I would be experiencing oral symptons as well?
