10/02/2011 Hi all, I got the same problem, no head or back pain now but did have a cold/flu before christmas for a month or so. Pain is never the bottom part of my nose left side. (note) This is the 2nd time now in under a month, it started with my left ear with the top of my left side jaw, then went to my right ear. That stoped and pain of my nose started. Painful to touch on the left side, nose is getting red and pressure (did have a white spot inside the nose now gone) Dont know what it is, however this is helping. Have a small glass of warm tap water (easyer in the shower) about 1" and put some table SALT into it, give it time to mix and snort it up what side is hurting, (Do not snort it so far that you drink the water as you my be sick, just so it in the nose part only then it it drain out) together with normal painkiller 2 time per day. Still does hurt if touched but does help breathing. (If can get saltwater in a small spray pump bottle may save time) Anyone got a better idea let me know.

i have the same problem ..as you had it years had my sinuses cleaned but still get it i,ve put it down to one thing now i always get it in february same time every year and i think its pollen when buds are growin for spring its strange i get it every feb.........my nose hurts and headaches and tired tablets dont help i also feel like its a burning up my nostrils...

My bridge of my nose hurts soo bad earlyer my dog scratched the inside of it bt didnt bleed then later i blew my nose there were little blood spotties bt it hurts when i touch it and i have a big ball for teens tomorow plzz help

I have had the same symptons and I thought my husband had elbowed me on the nose in the night but when the headache started then I realilsed it was infected sinus's.
Use a nasal wash made with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 pinch of baking powder and 1 pint of warm water, stand over a sink and pour some of the solution into the palm of your hand, sniff the solution up into both nostrils and spit out any of the solution that goes down the back of your throat.
If this doesn't work in a day or two then go to your doctor and get some antibiotics.

I am sure it is caused by infection, the bleeding is usually a sign that the infection has cleared. You may be allergic to something like dust, pollen or fumes.

hi i live here in the philippines and is esperiencing the same pain. specially in the right side of my nose bridge and it extends to my temples. and I also feel like the right side of my face hurts. I haven't seen a dostor yet thinking this my go if i get a proper rest. I do so much work and stay late almost everyday so i am thinking thins might be some sort of stress. btw do you smoke? would be glad to hear from you.

I think it's auto-immune disorder. Rh. Arthritis, maybe lupus if accompanied by a red slight burning sensation over nose and fold of cheeks (butterfly shape) I don't know why people don't reply either. I don't trust Dr's and have no money to waste with no insurance, so diagnose myself. Am a holistic health practitioner and will assume mine is lupus as i already had swollen finger, elbow and knee joints

I have noticed this also . Mine started after a week and a half of the triple therapy treatment for H pylori ,which consist of talking two different antibiotics four times a day along with nexium.the last cpl of days i have had headaches ,sore neck ,mainly left side and the bridge of my nose is sore ,sorta on the right side where my glasses sit., I also have a bit of chest pain off and on and my throat is scratchy. I am going to call my doctor on Monday as for now i have stopped the antibiotics and hope the ulcer has healed ,I do think one of these antibiotics is not agreeing with me.

I have the same problem. I couldn't bear the pain anymore, only visible sign slight redness around the bridge of my nose. I went to the emergency department at our local hospital. They diagnosed as Cellulitis, can be very serious because of location, close proximity to the brain. Doctor prescribed Keflex ( Cephalex 500 mg) and oxycodone for the pain . I was advised if redness spreads, or if i get fever or headache to go back for IV antibiotics. So if you're experiencing these symptoms sore bridge of nose (feels like someone punched you there ) get to the Doctors, could become serious if not looked at.

Me too. It is a skin infection. I went to doctors this morning and he said it wasn't Sinuitis. He gave me a week's course of antibiotics - Flucloaxcillin

Sure wish someone, like a Dr, would read all the people having this problem. THink I'm going to see and ENT Dr this week. Mine has been going on for several months and the buising started about 3 days ago. It is SOOOO painful!

This sounds like what I have had the last couple of days. I looked at the ingredients on Excedrin Tension a few years ago and basically all it is is acetaminophen and caffeine, so if I feel a tension headache coming on, I will take a pain reliever and eat some chocolate or have a soda. I have had two of these headaches in three days... it feels like someone is standing on the bridge of my nose, hitting me with an axe! And then the back of the neck... owwww! It almost feels bruised and like I am being hit. I am going to start keeping a log to see if anything specific brings these on!
