This happened to me today, its amazing that the same symptoms everyone here is saying is what happened to me, all the sudden I get this pain on the nose, I thought my husband hit me at night. I will wait and see, does anyone have any advice if I should go to the doctor for this? I do have a slight cold ive dealt with for a week now.

Thanks

untill i started searching I had never heard of anyone having these sort of symptoms and pain. My pain is the same up around the bridge of my nose right where my glasses are "supposed" to rest! Not a chance with this pain! It's been 5 days since it began and not getting any better. it always aches and is excruciating to touch and just today I started to dry sniffle constantly but in spurts. There is a faint reddness high on my nose that looks like a bruise, but i didnt hit it in any way. Weird !  Anybody out there get a real diagnoses and treatment that cured the problem.

Hello... I've been suffering for over many years with this.... started as a teen myself. I have still no clue. I'm in late response to this original post but ...but I would like to know if u found any answers to your illness ? After years of looking but no insurance I've gotten nowhere. I suspect it's to do with the spine . Cause now I have a curve in my neck n low back but no cause for it?? Don't let the docs tell u it's in your head cause it's not! Hope this post finds u in better health and happiness!

A couple of months ago this nose bridge pain and tenderness hit me for the first time.    It continue for two days until I googled it and found several posts suggesting an infection.   What I did then, and worked perfectly for me, was to put Triple Antibiotic ointment up inside both nostrils (with a cotton swab), twice a day.   By the second day all the symptoms were gone and they have not returned.

Still paying the Mayo clinic the $2500 they charged me for tests and still do not have an answer. I believe that it is related to my neck pain but the neurosurgeon says there is nothing in the neck that could cause this pain. I have read differently but how do you argue with a specialist? I know one thing for sure...this is not sinus-related. I'm going to a pain clinic now but am going to just give up and learn to deal with the pain. They drug test me every three months and that costs about $300 (with insurance) all for just two $10 prescriptions. Doctors are a ripoff these days. Good luck to you. I guess we will accidentally run across a cure one day, maybe.

I have the same thing, has been going on for some time now, I use eye drops every morning which contains lubricant-hypromellose, naphazoline hydrochloride, also benzalkonium chloride, if you look all the side effects you will find this just might be your problem.

Hello , i can't tell you how long i have been searching for answers for this problem and others connected to it. I have had so many test for many problems i can't tell you. Here is what i found that may help some of you. After the 3rd xray and CT scan My sinuses are clear but however there is what the Impressions were : Right middle turbinate concha bullosa, Generalized narrowing of the nasal passages. In a nutshell it is an air pocket/deviated septum. My other CT report is cervical lordosis, Cervical spondylosis C6 and C7. Going to the doctor today for the follow up of findings. (picked up reports myself before visit) I also want to mention i had found from ultrasound and CT of abdomen fatty liver disease (blood test ok) No , i don't drink. In doing a lot of research i had found if your liver is dirty so are your sinuses. Until you do some house cleaning on that liver your sinus troubles will not go away. I was just amazed by this. Prior to the ongoing Nose pain i did have swollen glands a touch of a sore throat. Might i mention i am a life long Clencher. I am trying really hard to stop myself from clenching my teeth when i catch myself doing it of course. Knowing that this has caused even more troubles with this nose pain, jaw pain or even sounding like fluid in my ears when i swallow. Anyhow , Might want to get things looked at a little closer, i have been complaining for 2 yrs. i'm sure my Dr. is tired of seeing me, if they would only listen . I know my body and i am not crazy. Finally some relief in knowing it's not in my head!! At least not in that way!

New idea. I have a small seasonal allergy. I have just recently started wearing glasses. Last few months. When allergy season hit I developed tenderness in bridge of nose and then pain. Most comments appear to have a combination of glasses and allergies. I suggest lighter weight glasses, allergy meds or repositioning glasses. Good luck

Treatment Option: for those interested, I had the exact same symptoms mentioned a lot here too and after 3 days knew something was wrong and out of the ordinary. There was pain and tenderness along the bridge of my nose as well as around my right eye socket and was very sore to the slightest touch. The middle part of my nose was also turning red and I couldn't even put my feather light reading glasses on. So I went to Emerg (Canadian) and was quickly prescribed Keflex. The doc said he didn't think I had cellulitis but was in the beginning stages of acquiring an infection. The bottle says Apo-Cephalex 500mg (Cephalexin 500mg), take 1 tablet 4 times per day, 40 tablets. It's the third day of taking them and the pain is almost gone! What's pretty interesting is that all the tenderness slowly got pushed and concentrated to the right lower extremity of my nose! Everywhere else feels normal again. I did however experience a heavy sleepiness the first day and had to go to sleep at 7 p.m.! Not so bad the second day, lol. Anyway, hope this helps -
