Scientist say that if we limit our siting time to just 3 hours a day you can significantly extend your life and improve its quality.
Also, if we reduce watching tv to just 2 hours a day we will extend our life by at least 1.4 years.
Researches show that there is a direct link between siting and your health. People who sit too much and don't exercise experience multiple health risks from diabetes to heart problems.

User my guess ( I'm 19 so obviously not a scientist lol ) would be that these are more correlations than cause and effect. What I mean is , the one that watches less than 2 hours of tv a day is probably doing something healthier with their time. The tv itself isn't bad, it's just time that you cant be at the gym
