There's a lump inside my butt cheak

Hello everyone, I hope this helps everyone whos looking for any kind of bump, lump, or excess skin on or around their anus. Ive had a bump, fairly round, or you could even say a piece of excess skin on my anus for close to 2 years now, and have had it recently surgically removed. Surgery was very easy, recovery just takes a few weeks, with moderate discomfort. I couldnt be happier now, i can finally get my life back on track. Ive been to my family doctor, and two gastroenterologists, had it treated for hemorrhoids, bacterial infection, for two weeks to a month at a time too; all to no avail. And then after going back to my second gastroenterologist, he said he could remove it if it was bothering me that much, and the name of the procedure was 'removal of anal polyp'. The bump never hurt, it felt firm, like fleshy skin, and was just there inconveniently. It has been ruining my life, ive been depressed about it; everyday i had to rinse off in the shower because it was just so odd shaped to wipe clean. Im 21, male, straight, and was averagely healthy going to college while all this happened. I also never smoked or drank, so it could happen to anyone, and for those who do smoke, you shoudn't worry because its most likely not cancerous; BUT I'm no doctor so please dont hold me to it, have it checked out for reassurance. Before this, i aslo had excellent hygiene to note. I guess a combination of a lot of things contributed to my problem, number one was i was probably wiping too hard, now ill try to wet the toilet paper if possible, (the surgeon mentioned friction from wiping hard), i wasnt drinking enough water, lack of sleep(hey, i was in college), stress(also college), and not enough fruits or fiber. For anyone who has tried treating their bump for hemorrhoids or something else that wasnt it, i would definitely recommend surgery, its not that bad at all!! Mine was about an hour long procedure, and i was put under anesthesia before they started, and woke up on the recovery bed, THANK GOD!! The nervousness was the worst part, just thinking about it. Ive read many different posts about all different things that it couldve been online, and never got any success, only that many other people are suffering from the likes of it, both male and female, young and old (14-40) from what i read. Omg i have a big i mean BIG!spot,boil,pimple,blackhead i dpnt no what the hell it is it was red now its purple with a hard bump it hurts like hell i have a perfect hygene i went to the doctor he gave me deromol500 cream wash it doce not help i want to squirt it it hurts and it docent squirts its hard bump help me please waiting in pain...

Had a red bump on my butt. Went to the bathroom and squeezed that puppy, very painful, and some puss came out. I squeezed it until some blood started coming out and I determined that it behaved juat like a pimple. I hope it doesn't come back but it doesnt hurt to sit on it.

I was got lots of them and used Daktarin to treat, after my own research i discovered that it could actually be a bacteria under the skin. It got rid of them and there not coming back so i hope this helps you like it did me.

My husband has a lump that he is getting scanned . He has had it for years but had gotton bigger. His is under the skin and does not look like a pimple. It looks like a lump. Will let you know what they find out

i am just woundering if any one can gave me any advice I have a lump in my right bum cheek it feels like jelly, and it moves when i touch it which makes my belly turn. I have been doctors and they said its just a lump of fat but she didnt feel it. as anybody else had this problem hope you can help

I don't get it, it hurts, it's big, so why don't you go to the doctors, tell your parents about it?  It's an issue that needs to be looked at as soon as possible.  Mine started hurting on day 2 and i got an appointment for my doctor the very next day.  Now i'm on Flucloxacilin, i'm taking ibuprophen and paracetomel *paracetomol drinks for flu* and it really helps with the pain.

Get yourselves to the doctor.  Don't be embarrassed.  It's your body, if you don't look after it then it's not gonna look after you.

I'm only 13 and I was nervous about what it could be. It's very annoying to have it and it scared me when I first noticed it I got it a couple days ago I believe... :/

What you all have is a PILONIDAL CYST. If it is right at the bottom of your tailbone inside your buttcrack, there is a 99.9% chance that's exactly what it is. I had one a little over a year ago. I was 16. Let me tell you right how using ointments or taking antibiotics will do absolutely nothing. You must get it opened up and drained by a professional. (I went to the ER) Then they put gauze in it which stayed in for a few days. (It was an open wound, closing it right away raises the risk of it reoccurring). They took the gauze out and then I basically had a small hole that eventually healed up. Mine hasn't come back since, and I hope it never will. If you have a painful red lump in your bum crack, go see your doctor now or better yet, go to the ER. Trust me, the sooner the better.

I just removed a very itchy painful lump on my butt cheek. It was treated over the years as a rash, infection, virus etc. Now its gone! This sounds weird but i used black salve without zinc oxide. The first treatment pulled a 2"x3"x3/8" glob called an eschar. Adter 2 days of healing when we went to clean it there were these horrifying eraser head size very hard white things all over! So we did a second treatment and just yesterday a 2"x3"x3/4" eschar came out! It doesnt hurt anymore.
