There's blood on my butt, but not on stools!

I have been taking pain medication for awhile and do not use anything to help go number 2. So every now and then I have to have a little help. When I do, and it has been awhile since I have gone. I have noticed that when do go, it is very hard to go and after that, there is blood on the toilet paper. Not alot and not that often,it seems only when I have a hard time going. I am 50 years old. Never had a colonoscocopy either. I know I spelled that all wrong,but you know when I am talking about at least I hope so~ LOL

I'm having the same problem too! Recently, I've been getting used to the fact that I get anal fissures once in a while. But today, I noticed that when I took a number two.. only my anus was bleeding. My poop isn't red, black or tarry at all.. but just to be sure, I slightly put the toilet paper over my bum, even pushed it a little in to confirm if the blood was from coming from my anus; turns out it is.

It was a lot of blood seconds after I pooped, but then when I kept on wiping to make sure the blood would come less. But nonetheless, the blood is still coming out from there. Is this anything, or this another fissure?

They can be either anal fissures or internal hemorrhoids since you do not feel any bump on the anus. You should get examined to be sure of your condition still. Get some suppositories like Anusol or Proctosedly to heal the wounds inside your rectum. Warm sitz bath helps too.

Babe just go to the doctors. They will tell you it's somthing really common, you will feel more at ease and, you wont be so embarrassed that ya had ya arse in there air ;). Get some cream and antibiotics, job done. No more painful butt. It's minor mate seriously just sort it !

sounds to me like you guys are wiping your ass too roughly which can make it raw and a little bloody. go easy on the anus.

I have a similar problem, when i wipe there is blood but not in the poo. And the area around feels raw and the top of my crack hurts to sit on and when i spread my legs. please help!

I also have the same problem, it had happened 2 years ago but had stop in under a month, but now it had been happening for almost 8 months non-stop, so I paid the doctor a visit, well ...visits.... for 2 months in and out for follow ups (this was difficult as I'm not a 'Doctor person', plus it was really embarrassing as I'm a guy and so is my doctor, and I had to show him my butt). He stated the I had 3 pilodial cysts (3 holes created by in grown hairs separating tissues from healing, thus explaining the constant bleeding (especially when 'releasing the hounds' the pressure/tension created when sitting and clenching) and raw clear yellowish fluid). The doctor also stated that its rare but men between ages 13-25 have these pilodinal cysts. **I think its important to put this: with my last visit the doctor stated surgery is the last resort as it takes at least 5 weeks to heal plus its really painful to sit or lie down, he advised me to let it heal on its own and try to keep the sore/cut dry in an attempt to form a scab and then let the new skin heal underneath the scab *easier said than down, right?* but he stresses that even after surgery; the holes, bleeding and raw swell can reoccur thus making the surgery pointless but I can do it if I wanted to.** Recently, it started to itch a little more than normal, and after looking at it myself I notice a new cut/sore on the inside of my buttock cheek. I've tried Neosporin, anti-bacterial cream, Adhesive medical strips (Band-Aids), Cotton-Balls and Cloth Tapes (did not go well as they would fall off and fall through the pant legs, I don't have to explain how awkward it is if you lose track of it in a public place).   

see if u say tat it mite have been caused by anal sex .. .. wt f v undergo anal sex again ,.. vil her pain bcome more or ...can u suggest  any ointments or tablets plz ,.. 

I am having the same "blood on the toilet paper" problem even if i do not have a bowel movement. I am a Hetrosexual 50 year old man that has problems with constipation from pain pills. I just had a biopsy done for a dark tumor in my lower spine. You should see your doctor. Good luck...

i am 22 yr old female..wehni get on my period i cant go poop. like i know i have too but icant go for like 2-3 days it hurts......and so i jus got off my period and i can go to the bathroom but i jus wasnt to the bathroom and i noticed blood..i thought i was starting again bc im am irregular when it comes to my periods....anyadvice plz help?????

Hi I'm a 22year old male and when I try and poop it's really hard to and after I do it's real small strings not regular what so ever and then after I'm done I wipe well but then fells like there still more poop I try very hard and then after wiping there's spotted blood on the toilet paper and it hurts to wipe although i leave and seconds later it starts to itch what could be a problem causing this?

Remember to drink lots of water and apple juice really helps. Its probably like that because if you are constipated your stool can get harder and scrape the inside of your anus.
