Hey I have the same problem for over a year now I have been to doctors but they don't know what it is or is causing it so I started looking into it myself and found out that most of it was caused by me taking so meds one called losartan/hct for high blood pressure so I stopped taking the meds and I can eat now and burp a little from time to time much better than before

I had this issue and discovered I had an allergy to sulfites. That may not be the answer for you, but thought I'd suggest it in case it helps!

I have the exact same thing. A burp like decompresses my whole chest area and it is such relief. My thyroid is also swollen which is under the Adam's apple area you describe, could this be the same for you? It causes an extra tight feeling and pain

put wood under the head board and sleep like that for a week and you will see a difference .Coffie and choc are the worst thing !You have to change your eating habbits, also try to go clutun free for a week if this don't work!I was told to try this because a Doctor was saying if your stomache is bloating it could be glutin problem .I knowIf i take my pills every day and try to stay away from the coffie .It gets better!I also ,changed to decafe!

Put one long piece of wood under the head board .That will help you after a couple of days .This way it can't rush up if you are tilted .Stay away from coffie ,spices in your food ,don't drink or eat alt of food that had acid in it and when you do eat something you like make sure you take your pills every day for acid reflex!Try this and then let me know how you make out!

It sounds like acid reflex and if you feel like you need to burp and swelled this is what it is !take your pills every day if you have some !Put a board under the front of head board and it has to be right across so that both sides are on this board .Only at the front! If it is acid reflex you will find that it is getting better after a few days .Also coffie ,spices, pop anything that has acid .Change your coffie to decafe ...I never thought that i could do that ,but I did for after a few times i didnt like it but i drink it all the time now!

I had this for several years....was told it was acid reflux...i strongly disagree... I got off the meds for acid reflux..(not an easy thing to do) it was much worse for a few days because my body was used to the meds....i come to the conclusion it is stress....it only happens when i am rushed or stressed....no BURNING....cannot burp....if i drink something bubbly like fruit carbonated water i will burp and the sensation leaves....i am trying to eliminate stress....not easy either...it means avoiding certain people and situations....It has been 3 weeks since i have had a reflux pill....i shall conquer this ...i will will....feeling much better, not so much bloat either.
