My therapist claims that the tingling in my fingers could be coming from my stiff neck and shoulders. After working on my neck and shoulders the tingling did seem to ease up. I sit with my shoulders lifted and head down for
4 hours a day on a chair that is not ergon. correct (according to our in house therapist). Can you confirm this information? The Human Resource manager
(who by the way is obviously NOT a doctor) claims they are not related.

Hello there Sharon,

Well when it comes to the chairs it is a fact that ergon chairs are causing less pain in the back, but it is also very important how you sit. There is correct posture which has been predicted by the manufacturers of the chairs and if you are following their advice and keep the correct posture you are most likely that you will not be experiencing any consequences even if the chair is the cheapest.

It is also important that the monitor is in the level of your eyesight because if you are bending your head you will be experiencing stiffness in your neck and all other symptoms that you have been mentioning. I hope this was helpful.
