I'm having this now...Had it a month ago and went to the doc.
They told me it was a yeast infection and treated me. It went away for a bit. They tested me for a UTI and said my urine was clean. (I get UTIs often, and I didnt think this was one)
It's been almost a month and it's back with a vengence. I'm feeling the need to pee every five seconds, but producing nothing no matter how much I drink. It gives a burning sensation and I get chills.
I'm sooo frustrated!

I have had several urinary tract infections in my 87 years but it is like pulling teeth to get my Dr. to believe me. Never once has my infection been cleared by anything except an antibiotic. My older doctors would give me an antibiotic over the phone and I would soon be well. But no more. She gives me a test and says there is no infection but I know there is! Have tried her recommendations but they do not work. Any suggestions? I think that all doctors are this way now, but animals are given antibiotics every day so that they will grow faster and be more valuable to the farmers.

It's a bladder infection, I got diagnosed yesterday. It's nothing major but it does require antibiotics. Go to your doctor, he'll ask for a urine sample and do a dipstick test and then prescribe so antibiotics. Feel better!

Thanks all the info you all gave it was very helpful because I to have been experiencing the same sensations during urinating and I was scared about what it could be seeing as though I have been in a manogomous relationship for the last two years...but this really helps eliviate some of the fear.

I have experienced these exact symptoms on and off for the last couple years. Every time I would go to my gynecologist to have her check for a UTI, the test was negative and she would tell me it was in my head. From the in depth research I've done in an effort to relieve the pain and regain my ability to have sex, it seems like these symptoms are consistent with those of Interstitial Cystitis. I found numerous home remedies on Earth Clinic. After months of being treated for uti etc, finally got diagnosed with vulvodynia. Was a total "eureeka" moment when I read through the symptoms. Please please post this in any other forums you've checked. I know how awful it is to suffer this for months, no one having a clue what's going on!
