I also do get a tingly left side of the face and the left side of my bottom lip occasionally I asked my doctor about it but she said it was my wisdom teeth coming through, but then I asked my dentist and he said wisdom teeth shouldn't make my cheek, lip tingle so who knows?? I did get told that it can be a sympom of panic attacks and I do get a lot of anxiety and do suffer from p.a but the tingly things happen when I'm not having a panic attack, so it's a bit weird. I wish this tingly/burnt feeling in my tounge would go though grrr! I'm so worried about it,
For others on here that have had antibotics before and now have a tingly tounge I read that the antibiotics can change the ph of the tounge and therefore cause tingling.

Did you ever find out what this was? I have same exact symptoms - over 2 years now - so many MRI, spine and brain, along with blood tests, etc. all normal. My right side of tongue and throat, are numb (metal taste in mouth prior to having numbness) and other parts of my body get numb off and on (hands and feet) - i also have raynouds. I am 44 yr old woman so this is very frustrating! I even went to a specialist in NYC and no one can figure this out. I am afraid more of my tongue will get numb - I already am having some trouble speaking at times with this problem. Please let me know what the outcome was for you THanks!

I have been diagnosed with SLE and cerebral lupus though some GP's doubt this. My Oncologist diagnosed this. He has a PhD in the immune system. Anyway, after years of suffering, I decided to do my own research as I didn't want to accept synthetic meds for the treatment each time my body heated up. I got to the source of why our bodies heat up. Inflammation. What causes inflammation I asked myself. An imbalance of cells particularly Pro Inflammatory Cytokines (see www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11035433) as a culprit for auto immune disorders. I recently had blood tests done and I've prevented inflammation by taking turmeric (don't take this if you have gall bladder problems or bleeding problems) and alkalinising the blood basically with barley grass and chlorella. Be careful of chlorella because this is a naturally occurring bacteria in water and overdoing could cause nausea. I take only 1 level teaspoon in filtered water (mix it yourself....don't spend money on the chlorella juice or barley grass juice). Blood came back with low ANA and my specialist said "your lupus was not active" and he was very surprised due to my complex health history. I was able to go for a 12 km walk yesterday with my dog. Mind you she's been flat out on the floor all day today! :) My body feels stronger for it. I also take about 2 apricot kernels a day and these are horribly bitter as I chew them in my mouth. Now....I do get the tingling - slightly - on the end of my tongue - on the tip and I read this can be caused by cyanide poisoning. Well I'm not dead yet and to die from kernels you have to eat a lot of them. So the tingling could be caused from the kernels but I also get tingling on the ends of my big toes. My Oncologist said this is coming from my spine but there is no pain. I used to have chronic ear/head fullness which I was told was inflammation. I tried everything short of getting grommets put in my ears but my specialist said I don't need this; that mucus wasn't the problem. I've been taking ashwaganhdha powder (bought from an Ayerveda doctor) which is Withania somnifera in the West and has replaced my occasional meds for inflammation which were a mild anti depressant (snri's and ssri's the latter can cause much pain for many) and plaquenil. I just read this herb has anti malarial properties which confirms that it also has benefits that the plaquenil is used for. But plaquenil has side effects. This herb also helps with memory, anxiety, concentration, libido (helps those who are on anti cancer meds for breast and prostate cancer recovery). PLEASE see your doctor before taking my advice. I'm only a lay girl but I've been sufficiently sick for many years to now be proud of my own study and wellbeing that I'm enjoying now. I also don't eat much sugar or fat. Some alkalising foods are all cucumber, lettuce, spinach, etc and the barley and chlorella drinks. Carrot and pumpkin are sweet and tend not to do as good. Beetroot is very good for you. Avocados, walnuts...and and anything that resembles a picture of a brain is a good anti cancer prevention to add to your diet. Also drink lots of water. I drink about two litres a day. Good luck.

My shampoo also contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which, like Koi wrote, is a very common irritant, allergy or trigger for reactions, such as perioral dermatitis (a rash around nose and mouth). Many toothpastes, shampoos, and cosmetics contain this. I am making a natural toothpaste, using Baking soda, filtered water, salt & Peppermint Essential oils.
