I had my tonsil removed and part of my tongue due to cancer. I also had a neck dissection where they removed 35 lymph nodes. All were benign. Needles to say the surgery and recovery were a nightmare but I feel good and have not needed to get any treatment. Two months after the surgery I began teaching my classes again and have my energy back. But I am once again feeling as if I have a lump in the surgery area. I met with a surgeon and he did a fiber optio laryngoscopy on my. I was able to see the video of the inside of my throat. My surgeon saw nothing and simply said I was healing well. My question is - if I am healing well why do I still feel as if I have something stuck in my throat? I am so frustrated because I feel it constantly. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
