Hi all. I’ve just been diagnosed with trichmonas (not sure for spelling). My doc explained me that it was an STD and that I probably got it from my sexual partner. He also prescribed me an antibiotic called metronidazole and advised me to be sexually inactive until I get completely healthy. Now, as I have been faithful to my husband and therefore had sexual relationship only with him, I have one question. You see, my husband has no trichmonas symptoms at all so I’m wontering is it possible that he has that disease even without having any symptoms?? He will see his doc tomorrow to confirm, but I would like to hear that from you. Thanks.

Trichomonaisis (that is the correct spelling) is STD and in men can infect the urethra and glans of the penis. Anyone can get it and it is usually (but not only) spread through unprotected sexual intercourse. I know this seems weird, but usually men have only few or no symptoms at all from this infection. Don’t know why, but that is the way it is! So, it is very possible that your husband has it, even without knowing it. If men has symptoms, than those usually include burning with urination, discharge from the penis and Swelling of the foreskin or glands of the penis, but, as I already said, men usually have no symptoms at all!
