I have a lot of the symptoms you are talking about. I am a female and have dealt with it for a long time, years. Itchy, redness, swelling, leakage, etc. The odd thing is: when I was pregnant, the itchiness went away but the leaking didn't. And, I usually have to go immediatly after I feel the urge. I thought it was because I had an epediadamey (spellling is wrong sorry) after my first baby. Didn't have this before, during my first pregnancy. It's been 13 years with an itchy, dry anus. it's hell

I had Norovirus about a year ago...came out of the blue and I suppose hell would be an equivalent journey.  Without any warning whatsoever, went to bed feeling fine, and in the middle of the night, woke up with pains in my stomach most likely equivalent to being stabbed on the inside.  I had by far, the WORST case of diarrhea any human being has ever had.  I am talking diarrhea attacks approximately 8 or 9 times each day, being woken up from the pain in my stomach in the middle of the night or when napping finally.  Ended in the emergency room since I couldn't even have so much as an eye dropper of water put back into me so I was severly dehydrated. After this bout with the Norovirus and diarrhea for about 7 or 8 days in a row, it finally stopped (I thought it was the end for me).  BUT, now is where this hell has come into my life.  After my bowel movement now (usually first thing in the morning after a half a cup of coffee), I clean myself with a WET toilet tissue to avoid the dryness and pain of dry toilet tissue.  I thoroughly clean myself and life should be normal. HOWEVER, in about 30 minutes after the bowel movement, I use the bathroom to urinate before showering, and I purposely clean my butt to see if it was clear, and here is when I found out there's a leak of feces still to be cleanred, like I never cleaned myself in the original bowel movement.  So I originally thought it was a fluke and it was because of the diarrhea from the Norovirus and it would clear up.  But nope, it's still here, embarrassing as ever. No more light colored or white pants or shorts because I am 50 years old and will not risk the chance that this stuff will show up on the back of my pants.  I have been to doctors upon doctors, all sorts of tests (colonoscopies, etc.), and all "normal" results.  So folks, if you have any suggestions in curing this, I'd be forever indebted to you.  This is like a living hell and I'm at the end of my patience.   Thanks much.

I hate NOT drinking coffee. 48 YR OLD female. Heavy coffee drinker (3-4 cups in the AM) until about 2 years ago. At the time, I was exercising more frequently and also consuming muscle milk. Went from being asymptomatic to a dramatic escalation of diarrhea/squishy but/cramping/nocturia... One morning after I felt like vomiting when trying to down a cup of joe--I decided I perhaps ought not to drink it. Went to a couple of different doctors with no good results because the issue was when I stopped caffeine, my problems abated. About a year ago, was ramping up exercise and coincidentally more protein/less carb diet + Red Bull (as a sad substitute for coffee)--problems returned. Cut caffeine (+ simultaneously ramped back on the diet/exercise regime)--problems gone. In talking to people, I had someone mention that he too began to have problems with coffee but now found that he could drink the occasional cup. This prompted me to sporadically trying to reintroduce coffee. I thought I was OK with one cup. I went out and bought some K-Cups on Saturday and brought them into work with me on Monday. (earlier on I have tried every brand of low-acidic and cold-filtered coffee all with no success) I couldn't have just one cup. Had two cups on Monday. Jogged 6 miles. Seemed OK. Two cups on Tuesday--cramping, squishy butt, and I am lying in bed reading this long thread after having to take two splash baths. Monday - Coffee is the Elixir of Life Tuesday - Misery I am not a happy camper. Earlier on I was convinced that something happened on a global level two years ago in the process of roasting coffee beans, but that was probably paranoia on my part. Have I mentioned I HATE not drinking coffee and have found no satisfactory substitutes? Today, I wonder if a yeast cleanse and/or metamucil addition to the diet might return me to my coffee. I hate to throw out more coffee. There are like 16 pods left.

I found out I have crohn's since 2013 and still have this problem. I'm a 59 year old female and I feel isolated because I'm very uncomfortable being around people. I clean myself up to 10 times a day during a flare up due to discharge smell.

If you are taking a fish oil supplement, you need to stop. I found that to be the source and problem for me.

I just went to see my dr. For test results, he did change my diet 3 months ago it did work no too much fiber, and eat potato bread, no onion, and stick to gluten free stuff 3 days after I was perfectly good! I went for test result thank God everything is ok. Just change my diet. Do not use wipes as chemicals make it worst, and do not use hemorroid cream it breaks up tissues around there he told me to use Vaseline instead. Hope you get better
