Hi, I went to a doctor two days ago, because my family noticed that I became really slow and confused, and that I often lose my memory. The doctor didn’t find anything wrong, and he sent me to do some test. I am still waiting for the results, and in the meantime, I asked around what this could be. One of my friends told me that this could be some undiagnosed neurological symptoms. What did he mean by that?

Well, these are indeed some of the possible neurological symptoms. However, it doesn’t mean that you suffer from it. It all depends of the area that is affected. If this is true, and it turn out that you have some neurological disease, then it’s probably something wrong with the brain. Beside brain, the other areas that could be affected by neurological diseases are spine, nerves or muscles. But it’s probably not the case with you, because non of these areas, beside brain, can cause neurological symptoms like memory loss, or confusion. Anyway, you will find out very soon what is wrong with you. I hope it won’t be anything serious.

Most of the time lack of iron causes symptoms such as

tiredness
confusion
memory loss
being less aware of your surrounding
out of breath
tiredness, sleeping difficulties and other similar symptoms

It is in your best interest to first ask your doctor about doing a complete blood checkup..... A normal person has about iron levels of about 50-60. But sometimes the iron levels decrease so much that we don't even realize. The problem with this is that it builds slowly so you find out after your iron levels are way below normal levels. I am going through something similar .....

I know that it feels like neurological problem. But decreased iron levels are more damaging than anything else. Because, it is something that is related to hemoglobin levels in your body which helps supply oxygen to all parts of your body. If iron levels are low, the body suffers from lack of oxygen and hence all the symptoms.

Neurological problems are usually accompanied by seizures, headaches and involuntary muscle movements. I hope this helps dear.
