Since my freshman year of high school, I have had a problem with the food I ate. Anything I eat, with-in at least an hour of eating it, makes me sick. I begin to feel nausea, abdominal pain (almost like menstrual cramps, but no where near my period), I feel extremely hot but y skin is cold, I have diarrhea and in some cases I even vomit. None of this is in anyway shape or form intentional. My parents sent me to the Dr. to see what was wrong. He told me nothing and that I should try an over-the-counter Anti-Diarrheal drug. I did this every time it bothered me for a year; and at the end of it found myself in the hospital. They told me I was F.O.S. Full of Stool, gave me an enema and sent me home. I was then told to try cutting out dairy and taking lactose pills, this is not helping. It is a rather embarrassing problem and I need some help

This reply is a little late. You probably have Celiac Disease - or at least an intolerance to gluten. It is in so much food that it is impossible to pinpoint it as the cause (i.e. it just seems like all food makes you sick) unless you cut it out of your diet completely. Then you won't believe the difference it makes to your health.

My dear niece was 35 years old when she was finally diagnosed with Celiac Disease. As a little girl, she was called a whiney brat by some when the poor child was truly suffering. Now 42, she has been symptom-free for many years and has learned how to cook/bake and eat around her disease. Please consider checking the library for a good book of information about how you can help yourself; eating gluten-free is a great place to begin. There's a good one I have called Celiac Disease a Hidden Epidemic with loads of information. Keep in mind that the regular grocery stores are improving greatly on their gluten-free foods - breads, flours, etc. There's hope, so good luck with it!

I have the samething going on. I stopped eating dairy, and that didnt work. So i cut gluten out, and that didnt work either. It could be your gallbladder.

I have had the same problem. I get sick after everything I say so I just eat as little as I can. My doctors think I full of sh*t but the stuff they give me makes me even worse and the doctors said it shouldn't. I think It's my anxiety. But it really sucks.

I am experiencing the same thing you just described. I am 46 years old. My stomach hurts most of the time. The cramping is awful. I don't see a Gastroenterologist until next month. I've tried probiotics, no help there. I take Immodium before eating. It doesn't always help. I go back and forth between constipation and diarrhea. It is actually starting to scare me.

Finally I found people who have the same problems, in addition to bloating.
Try eating small amounts of food and not drinking water during meals, and only after. It dilutes the stomach acid. I take anti-acid pills 150 ml before I eat, too, though it hardly helps. I don't think it's just acid reflex. Anyways, don't eat foods with saturated fats over 10%, and try to eat all your nutrients. Don't make carbs and protein your main source of food. Try to have bowel movements in the morning. If you feel like something bad will happen if you eat a certain food, no matter how tempting, and especially exotic, DON'T EAT IT. Your body knows which is bad. Try to prepare for each outburst. Carry some pain killers in your bag for emergencies in public places. Drinking too much water can also affect you.
Sometimes the pain gets so bad that I can't even move, or think, just wait for it to pass. The pain does up and down and up and down. I'd get cold sweat when it happens, and the desperate urge to die than to have this kind of pain. The emergency room or the regular doctor's doesn't help me either.

Hi, have you checked the gallbladder for stones? I had mine removed, but before then there's actual pain, in my back, my side, my stomach, kind of like heartburn but different in sense that it felt like all my processes have stopped, my stomach would go quiet for hours, and I could not even lay down. After they removed it attacks are gone, I still get bloated, but not like pain, more like gas.

It sounds like what I have. IBS-d with gastritis. Everything you said is so familiar. I’m actually receiving disability finally because needing urgent access to restroom made my job impossible. It’s every bit as bad as crone’s but no remission, no medicine and no media coverage so you have to explain. I’m 50 and I was diagnosed at 27. I wish I had a super cure I could tell you. A medicine called Levsin helped most with abdominal pain and cramps. Eat yogurt. Promethazine is good for nausea. Mint tea. Positive thoughts for you

I had a lot of the same symptoms. Eventually any plant eaten caused pain. I have gone plant free. I only eat meat, eggs and drink water with electrolytes. I use salt and pepper only, no other spices. Being on the carnivore diet has made life good again. I hope this issue settles down so I can have a salad, fries.......
