It’s your lymph system. Do jumping and running type things and dry brushing but I think mostly it is what it is. I have it too. My body didn’t like this surgery. Your Lymph gets very disturbed during this surgery.

I have the exact same problem post 2 years surgery. It is crazy uncomfortable. I'm going to go see a NP doc. This is not just a coincidence i don't believe.

I am 13 yrs post tummy tuck and experience the same horrible side effects. It is a forever thing. A gastroenterologist told me that the stomach pain is caused by nerve damage from the tummy tuck and moving the umbilical button. If I had known this ahead of time I would not have chosen this fate!

I’m two years PO with the same. My stomach is pretty flat when I wake up, but over the day gets swollen, really hard and it’s extremely uncomfortable. I had scar revision surgery and it changed nothing. I’ve gone back to my surgeon over 15 times hoping he’ll figure it out. But he gets defensive and tells me everything looks great each darn time. I even sent him photos showing how bad it gets between morning and night and I still get “you look great”. He doesn’t want to deal with it or help point me in the right direction. So! If one more freaking Dr. tells me to go back and see my surgeon I’m going to kill someone! We are all lookIng for answers online because our Drs. are useless! I went to a very reputable one too. I so badly want answers. I’ve spent so much money on MRIs and Ultrasounds and still no answers. I’ve tried to get second opinions from other surgeons and they won’t talk to me because they don’t want to go against my surgeon. Apparently they’re all a tight knit community. If anyone has found a solution, please let me know.

Usual IBS is caused by stress...weather it be mentally or physically. The surgery probably didn’t cause it just the stress you went thru.

Two years post tummy tuck and swelling everyday. Some days it is so bad I have to lie flat on my back for hours. I found a similar, yet very old diagnosis from a medical journal article. The women in this article (two cases) were fixed. It is a hard read for non medical professionals but I plan to take to my doctor and ask for every test possible to find out if this is what may be causing the swelling.

Hello. I just found your post while searching my symptoms. I also needed up looking fatter than before after my tuck. My waist measurements are actually higher than before. For one thing I had a bad surgeon. Which I didnt find out till much later when I had to get lips to fix some irregularities. I constantly have a bulge at the top of my stomach if I eat too much also. I believe it did something to our lymphatic system too where are fluids dont drain right in those areas. Please let me know if you found a solution.

Well here I am.... reading all the post that my fellow women wrote, we only want to feel and look better after babys and old age., I too had a TT 3 years ago, when I researched getting one I only looked at pre and post surgery procedures and stories of women who had great results. Hmmm.... I didn't read anything like 3 years post TT swelling, who would of thought that you had to right?? well here we are , I have officially turned into a tree trunk, I have no curve in my waist , I've had to buy new clothes and sneak them in the house because I didn't want my husband to know that I was now a size 12 from a size 8, so embarrassing and so sad that what we all thought was something we wanted to do for ourselves turned out to be a life changing ,self loathing situation, it absolutely sucks to have all this extra weight that i never had before and the bloating that comes everyday I wake up, Ive used compression clothing when I know Im standing all day for work , YES! I'm a cosmetologist its been brutal for me, I read every post on here and wrote down some things I think will help, after everything I have read I will be researching the interruption of the lymp systems and I will be seeing my doctor and showing him all these post in hopes that maybe he will take an interest in finding a solution to all of this, It plays with your head and my heart and pocket book!! I made my husband read these so he is more sympathetic to my condition you need to have the ones close to you know what your going through , I will keep positive and thank god I didn't loose my life on that table. I will continue to wear my compression clothing and sausage casings for its the only way to get some comfort for long days. should have spent the money on a great vacation instead !!!
