I am a 30 yr old female.  I had my gall bladder taken out 2 years ago and started having "attacks" 3 weeks after.  These attacks include severe upper abdominal pain (mid to left side) that radiates to my back (mid to left side under shoulder blade).  During these attacks, it feels like I have a stake running through me.  Naturally, this causes breathing difficulty.  I feel like I cannot get a deep breath because something is causing pressure/resistance when I try to breathe.  I also have bouts of loose stools (sometimes yellow in color).  I feel urgency to go, but strain anyway.  I will go sometimes 4 times in one trip to the bathroom despite the urgency and then hesitation.  Sometimes the stool will appear different each time I go.  After I go, I am usually exhausted.  I have even fallen asleep after bm and taken 2 hour nap (highly abnormal for me).  I stay fatigued.  I also see little white "stars" and get lightheaded during these attacks.  The attacks can be anywhere from a few minutes to hours.  They have also increased from about every few months to several per week.  I had a bruise about 6 months ago in the very same place on my abdomen where the pain is during the attacks.  When I have an attack, there is no such thing as comfortable.  It doesn't matter if I stand, sit, lay down, etc.  All positions are painful.  I have had an Endoscopy, CT Scan, Colonoscopy, and Abdominal Ultrasound.  All of my bloodwork and tests have come back normal with exception of CRP levels.  They were 10x normal last month and about 2x normal now.  I do not know what else to do.  These tests are extremely expensive, and to date, I have no answers.  Anyone have any answers????

This high CRP levels indicate that there is some infection or inflammation and it seems to me like an obvious to connect that to the bruise you had on your abdomen - it could mean that there is internal hemorrhage or infection, but so small so they can't detect it. And if anyone knows how it is to work only to pay your medical bills - I do (burst stomach ulcer and all the biopsies...). Is there a chance to find a second opinion?

Have they checked your pancreas? You should ask for a Ct(or CAT) scan and ask them to focus on pancreas. . That would show and scarring or damage to pancreas. The pancreas lies behind the stomach and the pain you describe sounds like what I had. The pancreas streches across the area above the stomach and the "tail' is on the left side. That is where my pain was.The loose stools are an indicator your body is having trouble digesting fat(the job of the pancreas). Do the stools float or have an offensive odor? Sometimes the stools are greasy and actually stick to the sidea of toilet bowl.It is possible to damage the pancreas from external forces, like a bruise. Some have caused damage from car wrecks and others what they thought was a minor bruise to area.
