Same thing happened to me in 2010 but i was left for 4 weeks in real pain . The way i was treated was that it was all in my head it is baby blues (because this was my 6th kid . Never had the blues ) they did not even pit it in my notes that complication's had happened during surgery ( i had 2 get put 2 sleep as they were taking 2 long 2 fix the problem and i started 2 feel stuff ) and to this day i am still suffering from pain stuck in bed most days as it hurts 2 do the smallest things like housework even walking im in agony with my kidney. Even my stomach is still sore 2 touch was told its scar tissue where they had 2 reattach my bladder. Still taking morphine 2 this day for the pain which i find does not help anymore as my body is used 2 it. Tried everything 2 help but nothing. Sick of being in pain 24/7. So happy ur surgery went well and ur health is all good.

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy on Dec 5, 2017. A week later I started gushing urine from my vagina. Took over a week to be diagnosed-severed ureter from the hysterectomy. I was taken in to have a stent placed-unsuccessful, then they tried to put a stent in from my kidney. The ureter is too badly damaged as the urine is eroding it. I have a nephrostomy tube now to take pressure off my kidney. I’m still waiting to find out when they are going to fix it as I need a full surgery. Has anyone ever had a full surgery to reconstruct a ureter? How long is recovery?

I had a robotic hysterectomy Dec. 18th. My doctor cut my bladder and a urologist was called in to fix my bladder. Had a catherter while bladder heeled. Ten days after surgery I had extreme flank pain. Went to the ER and then the hospital. CT scan showed the lower part of my ureter was damaged. Had a tube put in to drain my kidney. This Friday, Feb. 2nd, I am having a surgery to cut the damaged ureter and reattach it to my bladder. My urologist tells me I may be able to return to work Feb. 14th. Wondering if that is realistic. Please reply if you have had a similar surgery and share how long your recovery took.

I had a hysterectomy and they cauterized my right urethral tube. I’m getting my 2nd stent removed Tuesday. I’m praying that God has healed my urethral tube also! I don’t want another surgery!

I can relate.
My ureter was cut during my Hysterectomy as well. Unfortunately, I felt very ill for months before they figured out what was wrong. I was down to 53% function. Wish my Drs were on top of it like yours.
It has been a sickly year;(
