I need help! I am a diabetic and I have blood sugars that just do not make any sense at all. I took it this morning as I always do. It was 135. It isn't a good blood sugar as you can tell. Also I took my bg last night and it was 78 so I ate a little of something to bring it back up so I would feel better. They are crazy like this though I am following my diet like I need to. So I don't know what I am suppose to do. I want to be careful and watch my blood sugars and I have been, but if the bg are not going to be right, whats the point? I am annoyed as well as disheartened. Has anyone else have crazy bgs like me? What did you do it get them to stabilize without needed to go on medication? I am not wanting to go on medicine for diabetes. I am on enoungh medication without having to add more medication on top of it.

You may need to go to your doctor and discuss your issue with your sugars having so many ups and downs. Your physician may determine what could be causing your blood sugars to bounce around like they are. It could be the timing of your meals or what you are eating at your meals. Also your activity could have a bearing on how your blood sugars fluctuate. If you know that certain times of the day are more hypoglycemic, you can eat more carbohydrates to help bring your blood sugars up. If you are engaging in vigorous exercise like running or biking, this could be lowering your blood sugars. Perhaps from talking with your dietician or doctor, you will figure it out.
