I experienced this for the first time in my life. From what I know I was sour four a couple days only because as soon as I found out I drank alkaline water (8 cups a day) and ate tons of pineapple and other alkaline fruits for an entire day and it was gone by the next day. Get a ph test strip and test your saliva and discharge. I'd say something is causing you to be too acidic.

I feel your pain, and don't want to upset you or anything but I feel the need to say: stop apologising and stop feeling embarrassed alright? Because it's just your body, and on top of that basic fact, you have a husband with whom you have children... Like, it shouldn't be so embarrassing, I really think that's something you need to address in your life for sure!! I'm 25, I have a recent bf and no children, and I am scared for you as far as the amount of discomfort and apparently shame you're punishing yourself with!... You've got ppl super close to you that are there for the long haul, quit acting like a nervous teenager!! You'll work it all out, it's not that big a deal k :)

I'm am 35 years old and have dealt with this on and off for years it comes and goes and just like all of you sometimes are symptoms that come along with it and sometimes there's not sometimes there's itching and a slight burning but usually it's just the sour taste sometimes a sour smell and the discharge it's very frustrating and embarrassing to have to deal with this and I to try and eat a healthy diet wash on a normal basis change my clothes if there ever wet or soaked from sweat with working out but these things don't always seem to help it also seems to heighten when I'm close to my menstrual cycle and notice it more two if alcohol is involved so from reading all of your posts I thank you guys very much for all the information you have shared and the tips that you have given I plan on giving them a shot including the baking soda sitz bath and possible douching and going without wearing tampons for the next couple of months during my menstrual cycle and all I can say is I hope it works and that I can return with some good news for the rest of you!

You may have stress urinary incontinence, but our issue isn't the leakage of urine. WebMD can be a great tool, but I wouldn't start diagnosing other people off of what you read.

I haven't been on BC for over 18 years (I'm 45)
And I have the same problem. So it's not the bc pills

Hello man. We all know what's normal and what isn't. I politely yet sternly suggest you keep your opinions to yourself, I'm not going to comment on your penis either.

Healthy vaginas have a naturally acidic pH, as well as a host of healthy bacteria that ward off infections and keep everything humming along as designed.

I've struggled with this problem since 2012, I've tried antibiotics, betadine douches, tea tree oil, alkaline diets and to no avail. My sweet boyfriend and I have been dating since 2015 and I wanted to open up fully, as he loves going down on me... but I couldn't relax knowing I tasted gross.
Last night I gave my hair a coconut oil rinse and thought "why not?" And put a little inside me. My boyfriend and I had sex and there was no white paste on his penis! No dry flaky discharge! Thinking it was a fluke, we went again today and the same(I also put some on his penis, and let's say oral got a bit tastier)! I could cry, no white paste or that musty smell just my almost normal vagina. I "tested" just now and no awful taste in almost 5 years. Ladies this is seemingly my magic bullet so far, we've suffered long enough, why not give it a try? Good luck ❤️

I've never used this forum before so I don't know if I'm reaching everyone: I have on/off problems with this. You are colonized with either yeast, bacteria or both. A long term treatment of diflucan has helped me in the past and regular visits when it starts back up to get it under control. I personally have an immunodeficiency disease so I know that it is a main reason why my body cannot fully fight infection but it never reaches a point of infection that is easily detected. Cultures need to sit for much longer and analysed more closely. Typically, I only present with a handful of cells but it's every time I go so that's the indication that you have a colony of bacteria or yeast. Adjusting diet can help. My problem smears kicks back up after I've been drinking coffee again or eating too much meat.

I've had this problem for maybe a six months now. Weird, slimy discharge and terrible taste, but no smell. I'm 35-years-old woman and very familiar with my body. I can feel something is off and never ever had this problem before.
First I just waited few months the problem to go away on its own. Then I got yeast infection three months ago, which I took care of, but it didn't do anything with discharge problem. Few weeks ago I got treatment for BV (Metronidazole cream called Zidoval). After that I tried Cranberry-Lactobacilli capsules and cream called Vagisan. Next day I got burning and itching in the vulva (new problem!), which still continues.
Few days after that red about Cytolytic Vaginosis, stopped all Lactobacilli treatmens and tried baking soda douches for few nights. Discharge problem got better and also taste wasn't so terrible anymore, but still not as it used to be. Also the burning and itching continues.
Last few days I've been using coconut oil to vulva and it has been helping with itching and burning a lot. Also there is still some weird discharge, but significantly less. And the taste is still off.
So far I've tried:
- Difucan
- Zidoval (Metronidazole cream for BV)
- Lactobacilli treatmens, Lactobacilli+Cranberry capsules and Vagisan cream
- Baking soda douches (some help with the taste)
- Coconut oil (help with burning and itching)
I've been tested negative for:
- Gonorrhea
- Chlamydia
- Trichomoniasis
Also when I touch myself in the shower etc, it just doesn't FEEL right. I can't quite specify how, but it is just not how it used to be. Something is off. I felt crazy trying to explain this to my gyno, who just looked me all confused.
Also I know my smell I've had all my life, I know my taste I've had all my life. I used to have this typical, lovely smell and now the smell is gone and taste is all wrong. I really miss my old self.
All this time I've also had problem nobody else haven't seem to have. I've been having problems with reaching orgasm even by myself, one problem I've never ever had before. I takes a lot longer and orgasms aren't nearly as strong as they used to be. This has made me thinking maybe it is hormonal problem, but I'm only 35. I used Mirena 15 years, last one I got removed a month ago and switched to Cerazette. I took estrogen level test and waiting for results.
Thank you everyone who has been sharing your experiences and tips. It helps to know I'm not alone with this problem. I wish you all good!

Did anyone find a cure or find out what was wrong? I went to my doctors and they told me everything was normal and I'm honestly frustrated never had this happened to me.
