vaginal pain and frequent urination

I would think twice before applying alcohol or antibacterial soap to the delicate area we're talking about. Alcohol can sting badly, soap may make the problem worse.

i have had this for months too and being given a lot of different creams from the doctor but nothing helps! i am so sick of it!

I'm a regular 19 year old girl, I have been sexually active for 3 years with a total of 3 different partners (seeing one at a time of course). I began having these "UTI" type symptoms: burning after urination, urgency, pain in abdomin... after loosing my virginity to my "first" ex boyfriend. I went to the doctor, they saw some traces of blood but no bacteria. So they prescribed me antibiodics. I have been to the doctors ever since, and every time I go they tell me the same thing. "Here take these antibiodics, even though there aren't signs of any bacteria. After your done with the meds come back for a follow up..." And let me tell you after the week has gone by I'm right back in there. I have been to 4 different doctors, GYNO, urologists, and everytime each one of them thinks it is something different...yet they prescribe me the same types of antibiodics. Now that I'm engaged and have sexual intercourse more often my pain has tripled. Not only has it worsened but I'm having different symptoms including: cloudy, shrimpy smelling urine, burning/stinging pain before, during, and after urinating, itching, and urgency. 24 hours (almost on the dot) after having sex these symptoms appear. (I do all the "tricks" people suggest. Peeing right after sex, cleaning myself, drinking a ton of cranberry juice and cleaning out my urinary tract, I pat myself dry after peeing and showering, I wear cotton panties, keep myself dry, I don't use tampons anymore, my partner and I have tried sex with different condoms some lubricated and some not with different products, we don't use sex toys, no oral sex [because it increases the pain] etc.) And it's dibilitating. I can not go to school, because heat is the only thing that helps releave the burning, I don't know why. I have to sit in the bath tub and let steaming hot water run down me after urinating or it'll be even more irritated. I went to the gyno to check if I had a pelvic infection or an std of some sort which the pap came back negative, they also took blood which was normal, and a pee test which came back clean. He prescribed me 100 MG of doxycycline, which I've been prescribed in the past for over a month. It doesn't seem to be helping. The over-counter drug AZO, which numbs the urethra does not only not work for me, but it makes me violently sick. I've been taking Cytex, which is like AZO but doesn't make me as sick and doesn't dye my urine orange, or yellow. So here I am in the same position as I was 3 years ago and the pain is getting worse, I'm missing my 20th day of class and I feel completely hopeless. My parent's think it's in my head, and my doctors don't take me seriously. Someone please let me know if there is a treatment, at this point I wouldn't mind under-going a surgery. Everyone in my family is frustrated with me, including myself...I've tried ignoring the pain, but it's too hard. Sometimes I even wake up in the middle of the night burning. Please let me know. I'm hopeless.

ive had the same thing for over a week and im going to the doctors today.

So about to weeks ago, I had sex with my boyfriend. & It wasn't my first time or anything. & We did it pretty rough. Ever since then I've been peeing like CRAZY! & It starts to hurt really bad towards finshing. I've also been spotting blood. It's the worst pain I've ever had, and completly uncomfortable! I have no idea what to do, I'm 16 yrs old. I want to tell my mom but, I don't want her to find out I'm not a virgin. :$ ? o.O ! :-(

I'm 52 and have all the same symptom as everyone else. This is the second time this has happened to me in the last year. This time it started one day after having sex. I've had the same sexual partner for the last 23 years. He had been having horrible back pain that went from one side to the other (lower back) for over a month. Doctor order an MRI, but insurance wouldn't pay for it unless he went through at least 3 weeks of pain medication and then therapy if the medication didn't work. The pain was so bad he couldn't take it any longer, so instead of MRI they gave him an epidural shot of cortisone. After a few days he felt good enough to have sex again. I'm wondering if someone the pain is associated with his back pain because I now have lower back pain, the pain when I urinate, some pinkish color on the toilet tissue, frequent urination (and it smells), etc... Maybe it's some kind of urinary tract infection that he had that somehow transferred to me through intercourse???? Anyone else have a partner that had lower back pains and/or maybe a urinary tract infection?

I don't know why but if you drink beer or cranberry juice it helps, not for a while, but it gives you some relief. Also there is a UTI that is not bacterial, but is also incurable. You may want to ask your doctor about that. Good luck!

I have been getting these same symptoms on and off for 6months, they occur at random times of the month but do interupt with my everyday life, i have to be taken out of school and still my doctor takes urine tests which ALWAYS come back negative and all the dipsticks show is that i have large amounts of protein. I have no idea of what to do as I have been treated for UTI several times now with a small course of antibiotics or the symptoms just die down.
my symptoms mainly include.. Constant discomfort in the vaginal area, Feeling as if i need the toilet all the time even if i don't, pain at the end of urination and some abdominal pains :S
Im only 15 and 11 months and have just begun to have a sexual relationship could it be to do with that?
I started getting these symptoms the month after i had pneumonia, could that be to do with it?
Please somebody help me as i feel as though i am trapped, I have so much bad luck first i had 4 years suffering with extreme period pains which included sickness everytime my period occured and had to be taken out of school, then pneumonia at the middle of last year for 4 1/2 months, and now this annoying discomfort and need to go to the toilet all the time AHHHHH!.

to overcome my current problem I have been wearing cotton knickers, drinking cranberry juice & more fluids e.g. water and taking showers instad of long baths, also I have chosen to stop having sex until I am old enough for my body have developed.

i have been getting the hurting Of pain after and through peeing then after i feel discomfot for ages!, but i drank lots of water, and now the only symptom i have is a small hurting now at the end of peeing, maybe you had a water infection or your not drinking enough water?

I also have strange pressure in my bladder, frequent urination, pain in the vaginal area and rare, mild pain when I urinate. i had this about two years ago i had been tested for std's and kidney infections eveything came back clear. so i changed doctor she treated me with a liver infection, it all went away and now 2 years later i have it again. i really wish i didnt have to go through this pain again.

ok so im 15 and ive had constant urination and when i pee it stings and hurts. i told my mom and she said its probably a bladder infection. ive had sex before but i dont really think its an std because my boyfriend would have told me. im starting to get really nervous though because its messing up my school life. i have to go pee all the time but my teachers wont let me. and even when they do i feel like i have to go A LOT but its only a teeny bit. i dont know what this is. I also have this discharge but i just finished my period so it might just be that.

Reading all these comments makes me feel so hopeless, Im not sure if I can live wth this.... This has been happening to me for the past 2 years on & off, it was gone for quite some time, about a year and I was so happy. Now its back, it has a serious effect on my life, it makes school and work nearly impossible. I cant sit, walk or stand properly. The pain is horrifc. I pee and then literally 2 minutes later I feel like I have been holding it for an hour & only two drops come out. I honestly rather break a bone than feel this.

hey frnds....i m in my 20s..and i have been urinating very frequently...on 3rd and 4th day of menses....and den frequency decreased...but as soon as i drink water ...after approx 1 hour i need to urinate...and sometimes it pains in vaginal opening...i have been tested negative for both urinary tract infection and pregnancy...
