i also have a grade 2 varicocele, just change your lifestyle, always eat vegetables take herbal like horse chestnut , and most importantly add fiber to your diet , constipation may worsen your varicocele, ive been dealing with varicocele for 10 years now , and i feel much better changing my lifestyle hopes this help

I am 34 and still have varicose veins in my balls, me and the wife was trying for children for about a year and nothing happened, went to hospital and they told me I had a low sperm count due to varicose veins,

I just found it uncomfortable for anyone to be messing about with my testicles. So decided against operations on them.

So I stopped drinking beer, and just got on with it, now 12 years on I have 3 children and very happy, honestly I would of preferred them at closure ages as each child took a year or two but hey I love my kids and everything else is history!

My husband had a vericose vein in his testicle with the same symptoms. It also caused a reduction in sperm production and hence our infertility issues. He had the vein stripped (very minimal procedure and quick recovery / turnaround time. Happily, we went on to produce four beautiful children. :) He has had no reoccurence and can stand for hours!!!! Good luck

Veins become enlarged, sometimes twisted, not allowing proper blood flow. Standing for long periods and/or straining can cause or make worse. You may need to see a doctor. It may get worse. Elevating your legs when sitting might help, if sitting doesn't cause you pain. You may need a testicle support. My son is going through this right now. He is in severe pain. He has to have surgery in his groin area soon. Good luck!

hey greg,
Glad to know you are doing fine despite having varicocele. I was diagnosed with mild varicocele last year and my sperm count was 7 million. Could you let me know what was your sperm count? The docs are suggesting a surgery but i want to avoid it if possible.
Thanks.
