my father has been in the hospital for five days now. he went in for something else but found something wrong with his abdomen, but they haven't been able to let me know exactly what it would be. my father is a heavy drinker. he drinks pretty much everyday. his stomach right now is similar to a 8 month pregnant woman. it is very hard. He has been doing well with regular bowl movements. we haven't heard anything from doctor on what it could be and i just need to know something before i go crazy with the waiting. i basically just want to know an idea of what could be causing his stomach to be this way.
