I am an athletic ripped male, into karate and weight lifting and have a very loud, strong and visible heartbeat. I can feel every beat and see them too! I can even feel the blood surging through it when it is beating hard. After extreme exercise, I can also hear it thudding in my chest loud. Anybody standing near me in a quiet room will too!
Is this natural, if you also have this let me know. I have seen some women with visible heartbeats that are thin. Thanks,
Jay
Hello heartbeatjay,
I'm a female and when I strain myself too much I too have pretty visible heartbeat - you literally can see my shirt moving. It sometimes happens even if I'm sitting or resting. I did a general body checkup with all possible tests done and there was nothing wrong with my heart, even though I didn't remember to ask my cardiologist about this.
I guess some people just have this and if you want to be on the safe side - ask your doctor about it and do a simple ECG test, but I bet everything will be OK with you like it was with me,
Wish you all the best,
Nicole
Nicole, How old are you and re you thin? I am basically muscular not skinny! I am still a little embarrassed to go to karate meets, the gym shirtless! I even earned the name Heartbeatjay at Karate. Because of my super visible and also loud heart. Can you hear your heart hammer in a quiet room after exercise? I can!
I would like to feel I am not alone! I tried to video mine standing sideways left toward by a window with the camera on my right chest looking left over my heart after exercise, I saw it super clear! And heard it too, lol! Jay
