Yeah I think so. I started when I was 12 as a kid.

Okay, I was just curios. I had been talking with brothers and two friends about when they started as kids. Since they all mentioned 11 or 12, I thought I must of been a late starter. I had the talk at 12 of course, but I found the idea of masturbating as gross. It wasn't until I was 14 that I began to start thinking about doing it. It wasn't until I heard two boys in the grade below me talk about how awesome it felt before I tried it. I tried masturbating that night in the shower, one of the only few times because I took to long later I just masturbated in my briefs in my room, It felt really awesome, and I felt incredibly proud of myself for masturbating. I don't regret starting late because it turned out to be the best time for me.

Every male -- every person -- matures and reaches puberty at a different rate, usually as set by your genetics. Some boys "discover" the sensations they can create at a very young age. Even then, many guys don't start actually masturbating until much later, for lots of reasons. Of course, on the other hand (no pun intended), experts often state that even babies and toddlers can be seen to "masturbate" or enjoy genital self-stimulation, so I guess we are all late starters!

I think 14 is a late start, but nothing wrong with that. When I was a kid, I started at 11.
