so i'm 13, about to be 14 like in less than 2 weeks and im lifting around 20 pounds right now for both of my arms. Im planning to keep on going till I can llift 50 pounds. The thing is I dont want to get shorter. I am 5,7 right now and I want to be around 6 or 6,2 feet. Will I get shorter and is there proof?

Hi Guest,

Weight lifting will not make you shorter.  The problem arises when you try to lift excessive weights using poor technique.  It can cause damage to the growth plates in the bones.

Lift moderately and practice good technique.  Seek a competent instructor.
