Hey  kaycie&jack.

I think your goal is quite realistic - with exercise you are performing and proper nutrition of course. That's about 5 kilos in a month - approx 1 kilo in a week - which is relatively healthy weight loss - in a sense it won't return when you stop dieting - however, i think it is important to make your new lifestyle really a new lifestyle and not just a passing diet - so once you reach your goal you will stop exercising and you'll return to your old eating habits - if you do that - all you've lost will return

"also is 100 calories worce then carbs if that makes sence?" - i am afraid I dont' understand what you mean by that...

your body needs carbs, so you shouldn't avoid them - it is important to eat "good" carbs - found in wholegrain starches, vegetables, fruit and so on...

Few tips from me:

- avoid processed food, processed sugar - body gets enough sugar from fruit

- avoid sugary drinks, juices, sodas - drink water instead - 0 calories (if you count them) - plus hydrates your body which is very important

- increase proteins - meat, fish, beans, egg whites - eat them approx. 2 hours before exercise and 1-2 hours after exercise

- eat fruit in the morning or up to 15 min after exercise - avoid grapes or pineapple - they contain too much sugar

- increase vegetable intake

- follow food pyramid

- your body also needs to rest - so do have at least 1-2 days without exercise

minimum daily calorie intake is about 1200 calories for women minimally - American College of Sports Medicine says they should never drop bellow 1200 calories for women and 1800 for men. if yo consume 1200 calories and workout this is your absolute minimum. Of course it is important from what kind of sources you get those calories - from my stand point nutrition is just as important as exercise.

I would like to add make sure when you eat you make it small meals we were always taught to eat 3 meals a day with snacks which is wrong you wanna eat 6 meals a day should be about 2 hours apart eliminate the word snack completely exercise is only as good as your nutrition therefore you follow all these steps you should have no problem getting to your goal :)
