Hi. I'm 34 year old male and recently I have bumped on one very strange problem.
Just the other day I have noticed that there are some particles in my urine. When I better looked it, I realized that they were white.
You can't imagine how frightened I was when I saw this because, you must admit, this is very delicate region, but one friend of mine calmed me down.
He said that this could be caused by some urinary infection. So, I was wondering could anybody provide me more informations about this?
Thanks!

Well, your post made me thinking. So I have read some articles about it and listen what I found out.
I know they can look kind a scary but I insure you that they are very common and harmless.
I can say that, your friend could be right. Almost every bacterial urinary infection can cause these white particles in urine.
If this is your case than you should be prescribed with some antibiotic medications and in a week or so- these particles will disappear.
There are also one other condition that can cause this kind of symptoms. This is urolithiasis.
Urolithiasis is presents of stone in your urine ducts or in your bladder.
This is condition that has to be treated as sooner as possible so, I suggest you contact your urologist and find out the right cause of your particles and appropriate treatment.

i also have the very visable, snow globe looking particles in the urine,
for almost two years, with painful bladder area at times.
i've spend about $6,000.( no insurance on doc's in that time.
the urine never shows an infection or bacteria, it's cloudy and dark,
the odor ranges sometimes like chemicals, iodine or just plain bad.
i'm very careful with my diet, have tried eliminating many foods,
coffee, teas, alchohol, lots of different foods.
nothing seems to matter, mass quantities of purified water with dilute the
urine to remove most of the particles and color, but it always comes
back, i also have a hard emptying the bladdder at times.???????
been to a urologist, he said come back if it gets worse,
to a naturopath, and family practice doc and a nurse practicioner.
no one has other idea of what a solution might be, other than
the diet and water i've tried.
????????ant thoughts?

Hey guys, I'm 27 yr old female and I see those white particles in my urine too. I know that I don't have an infection, but I do know that there's blood in my urine (microhematuria). My urine doesn't even look red or pink.
If we you guys, I'd get check out for bladder cancer - it's possible to have it without symptoms. I know since I was recently diagnosed.

Better be safe...

I have discovered that STI's such as clamydia rarely show symtoms, but its possible that urinary tract infections are likely to happen if you have this infection, symtoms being, cloudy urine or with white particles.
I strongly suggest you get tests for STI's if you have these symtoms.
Hope this helps.

im a 36yr old female and have had this problem for many years. It comes and goes. From reading everyones post i have noticed one thing.the cause of this problem can be related to just about anything.I work on an ambulance have for yrs.I have pains but cant say that this is the cause because all the lifting i do.I have had 3 kidney stones,a gall stone.and recently my Gall Bladder removed.had a lesion on my overies which they sent off,and found it to not be cancerous. So i have been to a urologist,a gyno.and a surgeon.had plenty of blood drawn.I can assure you my problem does not involve std's.i do get the medicine odor from my urine as well sometimes.most the time its just white substance that dissolves as it hits the water or floats to the bottom, sometimes its thicker then others, then it goes away.i was told it was due to an infection once tried these antibiotics and puked my guts up from the pills.went back to the Dr. after not taking them.had planned on telling the doc i never took them.he comes in with the lab results says its all clear the pills worked..ummmmmm really??..so dont start getting concerned just yet.my thing is if its an infection they get worse over time if not treated.this has been going on with me off and on for 10 yrs now.I never have pain in that area.i never had trouble voiding.i use the restroom every 30mins to an hour.i have a very over active bladder and yes its always full.with no troubles going.so like i said im not an expert ,i have no knowledge in this area at all.i just have also had the hands on experience of going to dr. for this problem and others and all the rest of my problems have been cured, but this is still reoccuring.i really dont think they have a clue what it is.they are willing to test anything to help fix it.just be careful because i cant afford to be a ginna pig.have a great day.oh i was also told once it was do to sex.after having sexual intercourse it was stated a mans penis is not always the cleanest thing in the world.now being totally serious ,nothing to do with disease or hygiene. This is due to the fact its just unprotected from particles and so forth inside there clothing.which then is transferred in side the very sensitive areas, and its the bodies way of releasing the germs so to speak.i tested that theory as well.and after a few months of no sexual intercourse i can assure you it did not resolve the problem, but what she said did make some sense.

To everyone in this thread... I have had the same problem since about 2000-2001 when I was 14. Started with a UTI but never went away after antibiotics. Doctor said is was protein in my urine. He said drink water. I didn't think that was a good enough solution.

After much research I found out it was genetically modified foods. 90% of corn and soy, cotton seed oil, and canola oil is genetically modified in the USA. The process of GM causes all kinda of unknown proteins to be created during the RNA process of the food organisim. When you eat it your body does not recongnize the protein and then rejects it passing it into your urine.

The solution is to eat all organic food. USDA organic or non GMO foods.

You can test it yourself. One day eat only GM corn/soy/canola ect and see how your urine is. Drink only x amount of water. Next day eat only organic or Non GMO corn/soy/canola and same amount of water and see how your urine is. You'll see I'm right.

Let him drink alot of cranberry juice and dont buy the suger free or low calorie c**p. Try to make the juice your self or buy pure juice and no concentrate. Make sure he is not allergic to any thing in the drink pease respond if there is any changes. Good luck and research about cranberries it is an amazing creation. And before you give him the juice ask your doctor.
