Hello, I'm an 80 yo male and also get white flaky bits in my urine. This is following bladder surgery two years ago  and having seroius uti's. My bladder no longer empties itself and I have to self catheterise to void my urine. I do this ca 4 times a day. Hygeine is of the utmost importance because it's easy to get a uti if not careful. If I detect any infection I hit it quickly with cephalexin which clears it in a day or two. I was originally told I need only void by catheterisation twice per day but found this allowed time for infections to get started, so I increased to 4 times daily and the frequent flushing seems to help reduce the chance of an infection. I still don't know what the little white bits are though

I think that's normal. It's probably salts and mineral sediment. Even mold, fungus, yeast or bacterial growth. Having sediment in pee that's been sitting for days is different than having sediment coming out the bladder. The bladder should be sterile.

Hi.
I started to notice my white oily, scummy substances after I started to take different anti-oxidants I'm thinking perhaps since no one has been diagnosed with an UTI or Kidney disease it must me the antioxidants doing their job. Just a thought. Nonetheless I plan on going to the www.lifesourcevitamins.com website and get the their natural antibiotic supplements .
I'm also going to write them about this phenomena. thanks

I tried to reply once before but here it is: I too just realized this white powder in my urine. So, I came on line to research it and found this chat log. I'm thankful for all of your communications and shares! Thank you!
I was wondering if any of you have been on a strict supplement or antioxidant diet regimen? I just recently started and thus have now like all of you on this blog, noticed this white gooey powder like substance in my urine.
I mean I've been buying very powerful antioxidants...wondering if perhaps you folks have engaged in any of this. Perhaps it is a good thing since no infections been found, or any detrimental disease or discomfort been reported. I too have a lower back pressure on my right side...kidney area, but after hearing about your experiences I think I'll just lay low, and see if my nutrient supplier can help me.
They produce an all natural organic antibiotic supplement, as well as aspirin.

I am baffled...for I just read that a 5 year old child has manifested the same condition. Another person said that it might be GMO related.
These could be white blood cells we are losing, but if that be the case then I should be dead for there is a lot of powder at the bottom of my urine bottle.

I just placed an inquiry to them if they have heard of this condition and if they know how to treat it...or at least address it naturally.

This is really something else! I think it be best to get some type of DNA protection...DNA supplement protection to help repair any DNA damage our food source might have done to us.
Someone made the suggestion that it is GMO related, for when they eat organic it doesn't happen to them, and when they go back to eating GMO products the white powder appears again.

This is interesting for I just recently started an organic supplemental diet, heavy on the antioxidants and now have noticed this white powder gooey stuff at the bottom of my urine bottle. I'm thinking maybe it is the effect of the body flushing out gunk.

I wrote my vitamin supplier and Doctor of Nutrition about this condition...waiting on reply. I suggest you do the same.
There is a Dr.Joel Wallach on youtube.com God Bless.

Your kidneys are in distress and it's very likely you have kidney stones.
You don't want to mess around with your kidneys...I hope you do lots of research as there are ways to heal your kidneys naturally, but you need to start immediately.
Chanca Pierda is an herb which comes from the Amazon rain forest and it is very benefical to the kidneys, liver and gall bladder. It breaks down stones if you have stones or sediment in your kidneys. It can be used as a loose leaf tea, in capsule or tablet form and also as a tincture. Also you may need to go vegan or even raw vegan for a while to heal your kidneys. Start drinking flaxseed tea. Avoid dairy, meat, coffee, alcohol, sugar and all processed foods.
You need to take it very, very seriously though because you do not want to go into kidney failure or end up on dialysis.

You should do some research on D-mannose. Also you might consider if you have kidney stones which are causing you difficulty in urinating. Look up Chanca Pierda, which is a herb from the Amazon rain forest. It is also known as stone crusher...good for kidneys, liver, gallbladder and is very helpful against bacteria, virus' etc.

vitamin c and m.s.m will clear this up if you take enough. not pills or capsules, take powder only. you can mix I teaspoon each together in water or juice 2 to 3 times a day for a 150 pound person. mine cleared up totally In 3 weeks-very easy and cheap.

I agree with this. I had a horrible experience myself. It started as a reoccurring bladder infection. this went on for 3 years as I waited for a specialist. I saw 20 doctors and most of them diagnosed me with muscle pain and prescribed pain killers. the specialist confirms that the infection was still present deep in the prostate. I had 15 different courses of antibiotics the last one finally curing the infection.
I still struggle with my health. Doctors took 3 years to cure my infection, meanwhile my partner that gave me the infection dies of cancer. I had to do my own research and I finally discovered the answer after years of suffering and pain. I discovered that antibiotics decimate our bodies' probiotics. most doctors forget to mention that during and after taking antibiotics we need to take probiotic supplements to replace the damaged flora. Our bodies' bacterial flora is needed to digest food and without it our bodies start to really suffer. We start to lose the ability to absorb nutrients from our food.
Without replacing the bodies natural bacteria, the candida fungus, which is present in the body to help process foods like gluten and sugar, becomes overgrown. once the candida becomes overgrown we start to crave foods containing gluten and sugar and the more we eat the worse it gets. A candida overgrowth can lead to all kinds of health conditions. In order to fix our bodies we must take probiotic supplements and change our diets. look into buying organic foods and look into the candida diet.
For temporary and immediate relief of pain and suffering take magnesium, vitamin B complex and stop eating sugar, gluten, dairy
