Hi I saw your post about HCG and you offered help for methadone users trying to lose the weight! I’m in desperate need as I’ve gained nearly 80 pounds and feel absolutely disgusted with myself. I’m so depressed it’s ruining my 5 year relationship (who has told me he’s not physically attracted to me anymore and it’s conpletely killed our romantic life as well!) it’s hard because I want to stay sober and after 2 years on 150 mgs I have struggled with the thought of getting out of the Clinic “the liquid handcuffs” but with my sister overdosing and passing away 2 & 1/2 years ago I can’t bear the thought of relapse and the potential of my father losing TWO of his little girls... my mother and my older sister would absolutely never recover as I am both of their rocks and the idea of feeling that sickness AGAIN for weeks is unbearable to me at the moment. I’ve recently started taking Vitadone, and other than pooping my brains out and sweating UNCONTROLLABLY I’ve seen absolutely no positive side effects! Help!!!!!

First of all wow. I'm also in treatment and yes I've gained about 50lbs . But wow u all are on such high doses no wonder you're terrified to go down. I'm not being rude I seriously would be too. Girls I used a brick of heroin a day and I'm only on 60 mgs and I'm fine there and I actually want to go down. Where ever u r in treatment at well those professionals should be jailed. Are they trying to kill you? I think if u went down it would HELP with your wieght gain. But u r so high I would start at no more than 2 to 5 mgs a month. It might take a while but u will get there.

I'm on methadone and adderall I'm low lowest income so am struggling for food there's never really food here I don't drink pop at all Im 5 5 always been small but I also have body dismorfic disorder it's a nightmare I don't want this anymore they need to do something with the methadone chemistry because putting on this much weight sh*t it's definitely a big deal for a lot of people addicted and in recovery self esteem confidence who wants to get sober but be 90 lbs overweight h3ll no it's defenitly all the methadone all the way for certain to that's causing the weight gain I eat healthy I always have Ive seen people who have been dying on life support so skinny and ended up living but ended up with obesity r u kidding Yea a little weight gain probably not a bad idea but that's gonna happen without the methadone when we get sober we will start eating and gaining theres no reason the methadone should be the weight itself I mean geez this sh**s insane someone anyone have any answers on how to stay on methadone and not be affected by the weight gain side effect or maybee it's the main purpose that's how much weight people gain it's all the same type of way to all the similar look. Ughhh if anyone knows how to stay on methadone and avoid the weight gain and lose weight even if it's unsafe not FDA cleared Idc thanks hope to hear from someone out there there there......

I am currently on 80 mg of methadone w/ my highest dose at 100mg, I have been taking methadone for 5 years and about 2.5 years ago I went on adderall for ADD, It made me have no appetite and I quickly took off 50 of the 80 pounds I had gained since I went on methadone, so the adderral did help I was able to keep it off for about a year and a half Unfortunately my body has just adjusted to the adderall and the sugar cavings are back and I have already gained back 35lbs, I am looking for a diet pill to help while i continue to ho down on the methadone but I have not been able to find any that wont cause withdrawals, does anyone know of anything I can take in combination with methadone? Mymichelle37 I am reading your story and I hope you are just someone like us and wanting to drop weight and on this methadone stuff is impossible it seems like may I ask what kind of hcg did you buy ? I have gained 60 pounds on this and I can not get rid of the extra weight I am so unhappy like this

Hi I'm in the same boat ! I was always skinny 110-125pounds(and sad part is I thought I was fat then) since being on treatment I have gained up to 185. My self esteem is gone I feel so unattractive. I recently had my third child. She was a surprise (the first baby I ever had while receiving treatment) and a wonderful blessing. When I got pregnant I started loosing weight. So I'm wondering if the weight loss shots will work (hgc b12) . I exercise on a treadmill and I hardly eat I'm lucky if I eat once a day. I see girls start at the doctor skinny and within months they have gained 50 pounds. It's such a never ending battle. If anyone has done the shots during treatment please comment how it's working. Hi mymichelle37! Wow, I'm probably a year too late but I can't turn down taking another of many shots! My story is almost identical to all of the many brave & amazing women who posted before me! I have been on Methadone for over 2 years now and I have gone from 140lbs to currently 245!! Yes! over a hundred miserable and unattractive lbs. I just started phentermine yesterday after searching & hoping, and trying everything you can think of, you name it and I've tried it! I'm not sure why it has been so difficult to find women who have gone through this and their stories, but it truly has and after 2 years of trying to convince myself of different things, and feeling like I am doomed and will NEVER just be me again, it's like being smacked in the face with a damn frying pan and here you go! Finally there is a glimmer of hope and finally you have found someone you can relate to, and ur not so crazy and alone as you once thought you were. . . . . If you read this PLEASE! I am so desperate for help! And thank you to the ladies who took the time to share their experience!
