Please don't give up. Stay strong. You are a survivor. I can tell, or else you would of never gotten on the methadone in the first place. Work out, share at meetings, talk and see your counselor or therapist, and keep an open mind. This too shall pass!

I’ve been on methadone for almost 6 years and I’m the biggest I’ve ever been I’ve gained 100lbs and I’m also on adderall and honestly I think that the adderall makes me gain more weight but all I crave now is sweets and junk food and I don’t know what to do other then to start tapering down to get off the methadone did you find any tricks since you last posted?

Been on methadone for 5 years.. 170mg. I tried everything.. I was a size 0 within 90 days I was a size 5... Then 1years I was a size 9.. I went from 100lbs to 189lbs in 1 year!!

I tried. Supplements, keto,walking, running, gym I've tried it all. Methadone has destroyed my life. It's taken my sleep (all I do is sleep all day but I don't really get actual sleep) it's taken my sex life... It's taken my ability to function or do ANYTHING. I'm a bed bound emotionless zombie that's 80 lbs overweight. It didn't matter when I was on lower amounts or not eating anything sugar.
In September I made the choice to go down on my dose dropping 5mg a week. Today I'm at 25mg.. Haven't lost 1lb . The only option is to get off the garbage ... Ps... They also fail to mention it causes heart problems. Deadly ones
