Lemon is not acidic however is alkaline when consumed and could help with symptoms. I am 17 and have had the same problems for almost 2 years. I have not taken any medication as I believe all things have a natural remedy and find they work better than medicine! Currently I am taking cardamom tea for my symptoms and find that having a small slice of lemon after food helps with digestion and balance my acidic stomach.

What if u have had your gallbladder removed like I have? Do u still get those bile salts? Mine does that

I have had the same problem for years. The doctors did surgery and wrapped my stomach (called a Nissan Fundoplication) to tighten the duodenum. This did not help and all I can do to ease the burn is eat something. For me it was only some nights I would need to eat, now it's mostly 2 times every night. I think we need to figure out how to prevent the bile from coming out at the wrong times....

A few years ago I had something like that happen, but I couldn't laid down. It was kidney stones, but then after that about 5 years ago, the same thing, they took my gall bladder out, said it was toxic. Who knows, now I am on line googling, because I keep waking up with my stomach burning, and a bad taste in my mouth.

I know this reply is to an old post, but in case someone finds this during a search...pain, burning or otherwise, in the middle, between the rib cage can mean gall bladder problems. Many of my family members, and also myself, have had to have the gall bladder removed. Something I seriously regret! Most people may not experience the problems that I have, but if it was me and I had that pain again, I would do EVERYTHING possible to heal myself with various proven home remedies while following a very strict diet for as long as it took.
