What is causing my stomach burning?

I am not sure if you are male or female. If you are male, please disregard. If you are female, please see my post from 12/16/12 on the main forum. I can relate to what you are saying. I have terrible GERD and am severely gluten intolerant (and should be off of dairy too, but struggle to give that one up). I am not sure about my liver, but also suspect liver and gall bladder problems in myself. I have Hashimoto's, autoimmune gastritis and just had a full hyst (ovaries and everything) for adenomyosis/endometriosis. All I can say is that I feel sooooo much better after having that surgery. I am not sure if that is your answer, but maybe get that checked out--I believe that ovarian cysts and an inflamed uterus like I had gave me terrible stomach pain....and burning too.

You should go to the doctor because it might be a stomach ulcer and you need prescription strength ant-acids to help.  Also lay off greasy foods for a while and moderate how much it you eat when you do.  Also set a don't eat two hours before you go to be so food will have a chance to digest and not just sit in your stomach.

I have had burning under my rib cage recently, but I am nervous, I had my gallbladder out a year ago, but before that I had a really bad case of h-pylori which is an infection on the stomach could turn to ulcers. Now I am nervous that either the h-pylori is back or who knows

I THINK THATS WHATS WRONG WITH ME. IVE HAD BURNING IN MIDDLE UNDER RIB CAGE .NAUSEA AND BEEN TAKING OMEPRAZOLE DAILY. HAD ENDOSCOPY AND ALL THEY SAID WAS MY DOUDENUM WAS IRRITATED AND HAD HIGH ACIS LEVELS. NOTHINGS HELPING. NEVER HAD THIS BEFORE THIS SUMMER IM ONLY 34

It may cause because of hyper acidity or ulcer.Better you consult with your doctor.Another thing is avoid too much spicy food.Add green vegetables in your meal.

i too had it and now i feel good. Before going to treatment just answer me few questions so that it would be easy to find the cause: Q1)Is blood coming out when you pass stools? Q2)Have you tried any prebiotic and prebiotic? Q3)Have you tried drinking buttermilk? Q4)Have you tried any anti-helminthic tablets? Thanks Syed.

my gallbladder was removed 6 years ago and it feels like it grew back. in the past i did have a bleeding ucler and for the past 2 months, the extreme pain from my ribs all the way to my lower stomach has gotten worse. the burning is increasing and i'm drinking pepto with mallox chaser. eating bland foods (when i can eat). i'm going to a gastroenderologist in two weeks. they say i don't have chron's disease, but i'm beginning to wonder. maybe a gluten free diet is in my future. i just hate going to the gastro....i know what's coming and the prep for the test (colonoscopy) almost kills me to the point i have to be carried in for the test. just gotta hold on for two more weeks....

Im a 33 yr old male and For two months now i have been having all types of symptoms mainly in my stomach. It started where i had acid reflux one night and it was bad very bad, that cleared up after a few days but then one morning i ate some cereal then got this rush of intense burning in my upper stomach i then rushed to the bathroom and had extreme diareah along with cold sweats and anxiety...to make a long story short since then i have been suffering with extreme weight loss 26 lbs extreme fatigue can barley move and burning in my stomach below my rib cage especially in the morning followed by having to pass stool wich most of the time is dark in color also have chills all day long but no temp this is an every day occurence and is ruining my life i cant sleep have extreme insomnia since this has happened as well..been on a leave of absence from my job of 10 yrs for over a month trying to take care of my litte boy who really doesnt understand why his once energetic daddy cant even barley pick him up anymore..ive been from doctor to doctor have had so many blood tests done have had ultra sound cat scan and nothing has showed up..going for a colonoscopy and endoscopy on the 18th of this month hope that resolves the issues but if doesnt i dont know what to do im scared....i need help if anyone has any answers email me

Thank you so much. I have been having this problem for four years now. I too have taken many tests and seen many doctors who prescribed Nexium or antibiotics which did not take of the problem. Until, I read your post I felt helpless. Again, thank you.
