My father is 72 years old and he has just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I guess there was nothing he could do to prevent it, he went regularly to his medical checks, he uses vitamins, has a healthy life, but it was still not enough. Anyway, he has been prescribed with sodium diclofenac and I would like to know what kind of drug that is and what it is used for?
This drug is used to deal with inflammation process that is happening in the OA condition. It is an anti inflammatory drug and as such, even though very effective, has some side effects. It is so called "strong" drug that sometimes might bring more bad things than benefits, especially when used for a long period of time. I just hope that your father will be all right and evade those side effects.
