It's so hard--since I know I'M not a doctor....and just guessing.

Have you tried any sort of alternative medicine? Yoga, meditation, acupunture? That stuff works for me. You have to relax, though, and DO it and really try -not just go to meditation once or twice.

I suggest finding a group to start with.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could 'heal yourself' with a natural way-instead of with pills forever that could do more damage?

GOOD LUCK!!

Have you learned anything more. My daughter has been like this for over a year. She describes it as being floaty. She is not dizzy but more like car sick all the time. She also is connecting it to her eyes. I think it all started with a virus.

I am 30 and having the exact same symptoms. I was on a sepcific alleregy drug when i was kid in the 80's and 90's. It was later deemed unsafe and to cause problems with the heart and pumping blood. It was taken off the market. Just curious if there is any connection, since I am convinced this is blood/oxygen issue to the brain.

Hello! I have also experienced lightheadedness with very low blood pressure about two times each year and usually during summer months. I have been to doctors in UK and Greece and everyone sais that I shouldn't worry I'm not dying! I am not sure why but when it happens i keep a diary and i can see that when it happens i had coffee and i was out of my day routine (ex. slept late at night, not eating properly during the day and not having enough fluids).
When this happens i drink a lot of water and i put a bit of salt in my mouth which helps. In general,  it is important to maintain a good routine, eat regular small portions, have about 1 litre of water/day, have fresh juices, stop coffee, do some exercise pilates and yoga will help you to relax, smile and do not worry too much. Life is too short so do not let anyone to ruin your day, take a big breath, relax and think positive. I wish you good luck and i hope my siggestions will help you.

It's been sometime since I've posted my message above.

I haven't had this feeling for about a month now, so I think I'm getting cured.

It turns out to be a psychological thing rather than a physical issue. I'm healthy and the doctors couldn't find anything wrong.

Then one doctor prescribed some valium to see if I can relax. Slowly but surely that feeling went away. However seeing a psychologist will be my long term solution.

So if you're still struggling, see if that's related to stress or over-working.

Good luck!

I've had the same problem for two years -- two trips to the ER, my blood pressure and heart rate have been monitored, had blood tests, did an MRI, saw a neurologist, had coordination tests, etrc. All negative. The lightheadness is there every day but only when standing. I'm OK when sitting or laying down. I can't shop or go anywhere. The onlhy thing that helps is champaign (I'm getting very tired of it). I drink two glasses before going somewhere and it helps enough that I can walk into a restaurant or do whatever I have to do. Not a great answer but it works. Sure would like to find out what causes this even if it can't be fixed. It definitely effects my entire life.

I have been suffering for about 3 years now with the same symptoms as you -- and yes, it is very frustrating. I reached out to a physic in despair as no one could figure out what was going on. It turns out the physic provided some good clues. She said that I have candida and an inner ear issue. I started taking these laser treatment and have not had severe dizziness like I use to. I'm going to an immunologist this week to hopefully figure out what is triggering the candida. Hang in there and good luck at your doc appt!
