Has she tested you for a yeast infection because that's what it sounds like, there are many different strains of yeast that can infect our bodies and all can cause different symptoms and some you don't get any symptoms at all. I would say you need a pill or pessary to treat the internal infection and a cream to treat the external infection because if you don't treat both together it will just return.

Could be a reaction to latex! I have had the issue when I have used them in the past. Try goat skin condomes seems to eliminate the problem for me

I have the same thing happening to me right now. I am pregnant as well so it makes things great. I have a combo of a UTI and Bactrial Vaginosis. Vaginias are weird.

I have the same exact symptoms and I went to the ob/gyn to see what it was. They said it was a bacterial infection and gave me metrogel to use for 5 nights. I completed the treatment but still have the same symptoms. Did you ever figure out what it was?

I've been dealing with "tp discharge" accompanied by a white film on my vulva for 9 months. All of my tests from the doctor--yeast and bacterial and all other STD's, including blood work and pap smear have come back normal. I saw four obgyn's. All of the tests....negative.
I noticed the discharge after inserting a cheap plastic dildo in my vagina for several weeks. I did not know at the time...or think...that a porous toy could cause me harm. I was cleaning it by boiling it...and...who knows. My discharge became white and chunky. I treated it, first, as a yeast infection, but the symptoms did not subside. I took several rounds of fluconazole (the oral anti fungal pill). My doctor even refused to continue treat me, so I saw a new doctor who treated me for a bacterial infection (metronidazole vaginal gel .75%) , and did a pap. Still, all of the tests came back normal. I treated in again as bacterial, it cleared for 3 days and came back. So I treated it again...and again...and again. I began cutting sugar from my diet, eating a high anti fungal diet (turmeric, ginger, garlic--and taking aged garlic pills), Candida Support (by NOW), a raw super probiotic, high vitamin c, 800 mg folic acid, multi vitamin, vitamin d, b complex, omega's, and biotin. I was so fuc**ing desperate after 6 months. I thought that I would never have sex or feel joy again. It bothered me so much because I knew something was off in my body despite my lack of diagnosis. The doctors said, that's just the way I am. But, it started with the dildo incident. I am familiar with my body's natural discharges, and I can tell when I'm ovulating just by the appearance and texture of my discharge. I'm not ignorant to my body's own natural fluids.
So, when it still failed to subside, and my vulva was still covered in a white film, I resigned to the boric acid treatment. There is medical literature on it, but it is still very controversial because boric acid is poisonous if taken orally. I purchased 00 gelatin capsule online, and boric acid. While wearing gloves, I compounded the pills. I inserted it once a day for 10 days, and it cleared. According to the studies I read, the treatment could be performed routinely for 6 months to a year 1- week or 1 a month. Unfortunately, I have been inserting 1 every 10 days for 6 months and it came back in less than a month. Boric acid is anti fungal, anti viral, and anti bacterial. Amazingly, it balances the ph in the vagina and very little is absorbed into the blood stream so it is relatively safe, although not FDA approved. Do not get on your skin, inhale, or ingest boric acid.
I went back to the doctor. I saw two doctors. The first doctor said it looked like yeast, but all these came back negative. I treated it with fluconazole but it didn't go away. The second doctor said she saw green discharge and it looked like a bacterial infection but my tests came back normal. She is treating me with 5 days of the metronidazole cream, afterwards I am going to treat twice a day ( 1 in the am and 1 in the pm) with boric acid for 14 days. Also, continuing the low sugar, low gluten, high probiotic diet. Again, I will wait. If it comes back, I will politely demand my second doctor for an oral antibiotic. And, if necessary, will continue will the boric acid 1 month for another 6 months. If it doesn't go away in 6 months...I will go see a naturopathic doctor.
The plus: It is much much better than it was 9 months ago. The thrush has completely cleared. And, prior to treatment, the infection was chronic and almost always present. At least, the duration between the reoccurrence is showing signs of improvement.
I think there's a combination of stress, hormonal imbalance, and maybe the introduction of bacteria into my system through a foreign object...maybe it was just the perfect storm. But, it is forcing me to live a healthier lifestyle...to eat fresh fruits and veggies, ginger tea, lentils, quinoa.. etc, instead of pizza, ice cream, and candy bars.
Our vaginas have a very delicate ecosystem and also likely show any signs of imbalance in the whole body. So, I'm also going to meditate...and ultimately, learn to surrender and let go....to find health and recovery by trusting in my body's natural ability to heal. Think about it: your body naturally fights infection and WANTS to be healthy and return to a natural state. I feel my grief and stress concerning my issue certainly doesn't help improve my symptoms.
But, anyway...that's the story of one crazy nut...who decided that despite what the doctors said...something was not right in my body and now I am deeply entrenched in a journey of self-healing and love.

There's something you can buy on Amazon called: YEAST ARREST. It is boric acid and tea tree oil suppositories pre-compounded. Just insert for two weeks, and see if you experience any relief...and this way you on't have to go through the hassle of measuring and handling boric acid. Yeast Arrest is the only product I know that sells boric acid as vaginal suppositories. --Jean Baby

Also, try a shallow warm bath with apple cider vinegar, as well as taken orally with water, daily. And, cranberry juice. If I don't cure this than I will be damed...but us ladies need access to better health care because from what I've read on the internet, thousands of women are suffering from unanswered genealogical symptoms. Wish you ladies the best. xo J.B.
