This happened to me and I thought it was rather strange but I suspected it was the toothpaste I was using since I switched to Crest Pro Health.

I heard somewhere on NPR (or maybe it was a TED talk) that 2 ingredients you need to look for in a toothpaste are, "sodium fluoride and stannous fluoride. And it's pretty well accepted that the stannous fluoride is more effective as it protects the enamel of your teeth." So that's what I did and Crest Pro Health contains that ingredient. That's when I noticed the milky white film occuring after brushing.

I guess I have to switch to the old Crest 3D White. It whitens the teeth but not protect the enamel.

I have the discharge in my mouth but the toothpaste that I use is sensodyne true white. But it doesn't make my mouth sensitive to anything. So why is my mouth doing that.

STOP USING Proctor & Gamble Toothpaste (Crest, Oral B) It has caused SEVERE allergic reactions.
It has a chemical in it that causes skin irritant, people have had swollen lips, blisters and the white stringy stuff you all have is the skin lining in your mouth peeling away. It has caused gums to recede and made teeth highly sensitive.

Hello,
Toothpastes that contain sodium lauryl sulfate (the ingredient that makes toothpaste foam) seem to cause this problem for me.
Sensodyne Pro Namel does not contain this ingredient and should be easy to find in most drugstores. I don't have this reaction when I use this product.

We are not stupid. We know what plaque is for goodness sakes. Go back and read the initial post and then try and come back with something of substance to help. Not a lecture on dental hygienics. Geesh.
