I am undergoing test for MS. One question I keep forgeting to ask the neurologist is why my body is always so tensed up. I find myself constantly being tensed up and have to tell my body parts to relax.
Can anyone tell me if this is one of the signs of MS?
Or have you heard of anything else that can cause this even when a person is not under stress?
I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Muscle spasms (spasticity) is one of the signs of MS. Stretching exercise and massage therapy may temporarily help relieve the muscle tension. Muscle relaxants will give more sustained relief.
