I have noticed lately that my rides bring about the pain in my big toe. I though that it would pass and that was something transitional. However there is no ride that I finish without feeling the pain in my big toe. I am getting worried. What do you think it may be?

Well, you have to check it out with you doctor to see the real cause. I suspect that your shoes might be inappropriate. Runners have many problems if they wear inappropriate running shoes. They end up with black toenails while many others have their toenails fallen off after a long race. Likewise, if you wear inappropriate shoes while cycling you may have reduced blood circulation in that part of your body. This can lead to pain.

I too have big toe pain while cycling. The pain is on the bottom of my foot, close to the knuckle of the big toe. Since I'm an Ironman distance triathlete, it's very frustrating. The pain is so bad sometimes I have to stop and take off my shoe to massage it. When I get off the bike to run, the pain goes away.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I have very high pain in both foot thumbs (big toe). I have consulted many doctors and they said to me that it's because space got reduced between the joints. What should I do?

My big toe hurts while riding, too. My big toe's knuckle and the bottom of my foot are both experiencing pain. It's incredibly annoying for me because I'm an Ironman distance triathlon. Sometimes I have to stop and remove my shoe to give it a massage because the agony is so severe. The soreness disappears as I get off the bike and start running.
